Local writers tip toeing around Jake...

The deserves better line slays me. We gave Jake every possible opportunity this year to get things turned around despite wretched play for a majority of the season, didn't even remove him as the starting quarterback until injury. We gave him a lot of money over the past seven years, I don't know how one couldn't argue that he wasn't well compensated. We will be giving the guy a lot of money next year regardless of whether he's here or not....yet he deserves better. Wow.

It was one line. Respond to the post. You guys can't argue with the general concept and logic so you try to nitpick a line or word to then dance down another bunny trail. Stick to the issue and stop trying to divert the attention from the real issue which is there is no reason under the sun not to take a look and wait approach rather than a rash hasty unconsidered one that could backfire at some point down the road.

But since that is not easy defended, continue to pick away at the undeniably logical approach.

has any local reporter brought up that moore improved every single game he played in 2007 before being magically relegated to third string or is that verbotten

No. Fox has his finger on what the local guys say.....the Panthers will make it hard for them to do there job if they go too far out of line. They know what is safe and not safe to put out there......they tend to politely paint over Fox's flaws and say he is stubborn and then point to the positives also of being stubborn

While I will totally agree that this is possible where is the proof in this conspiracy theory? Like i said earlier a lot of certainty in this thread about what seems to be a major assumption. All this just because they aren't bashing a player to your satisfaction. lol

Its not the bashing parts but most are saying he should get a chance to start. If they would say bring him back to mentor or play behind the number 1 QB it would be different.

So it is fair not to open up the quarterback competition in 2010 but it was unfair and shows how terrible Fox is when he didn't open it up in the past with Moore. What a hypocritical stance.

So because you guys don't agree with there opinion then that is good enough evidence (and the only evidence needed) to be certain that the local journalist are in Fox's and Richardson's pockets.

ok

the guys at the Observer have commented before that before writing stuff that could upset Carolina....that they have run some stuff by them to let them know. It sounded like the only reason they reported on that one story is b/c it was certain to have been picked up by other outlets. I took it that they implied if they get a scoop they will resist going public if Carolina says so......that is power. Plus, to think Carolina doesn't do what ever they can to gain leverage to control the local media is just silly.....basic common sense tells you it happens.

bashing to my satisfaction? That is irrelevant.....just look at what big market media outlets say and do compared to small market.....2 different beasts.
