Jake Delhomme would suck as a back-up!

Pretty ignorant statement to say the least. I guess the game winning drives against New Orleans and Green Bay and his comeback against the Giants ruined by a Kasay miss, all occurred before the Oakland game.

Steve Smith!!!

Smitty's been bailing out Jake for years

Prove any of that? I love the Panthers, have embraced Moore as the starter based on his performance and acknowledge that jake isn't starter material right now. Why not deal with reality instead of always coloring people with the biased stereotypical fashion you do to everyone who disagrees with you.

Sorry bud but when it comes to this team and Jake you are blind. You see what they want you to see. Heres something you wrote about 3 months ago about Moore

"What is funny to me is all these lame arguments to support Moore. Does anyone thing that Fox and Hurney have something against him?

Does anyone think that they wanted to pick him up not to use him and sit him forever?

They would like Moore to deliver and be the answer. It would have been a lot easier to just promote him to starter and wait for 6 weeks for McCown to heal.

They choose to get Feeley because they don't see things to suggest Moore can do the job right now based on working with him for 2 seasons.

Why do they keep him? Because they know he still has potential.

But seriously stop wasting time arguing stupid points about his potential. The guys paid to know don't see it. Feel free to try to win a debating contest on this message board but as for will it change anything? Of course not."

Doesn't speak volumes to your assessments. http://www.carolinahuddle.com/forum/19989-why-not-matt-moore-7.html

The difference you don't ever look at anything and change your opinion. You are a hater and will remain so no matter. I on the only hand wasn't sold on Moore based on his history but have changed my opinion based on new information. I will look at new information and am open to change my mind. Yours is always completely shut and made up. A big difference.

And you've always been defending Jake till the bitter end. When others here saw Jake was finished, you would defend him and act as though they are the ones stupid when really you are the one that looks that way. Everyone could see it was time for change, but you always came to Jake's side.

Now I tell you Jake is finished, which is evident by him only have TWO games with more TDs than INTs. Even then, one of of those games he only attempted 14 passes and completed 7 of them. He finished the year with 8 TDs, 18 INTs, 55.5 completition percentage, and 59.4 QB Rate. What in the world more do you need to finally see that he is done?

Keeping Jake: Pay him 12 mil

Cutting Jake: 13 mil cap hit

Saving just 1 mil is not worth it! What more do you need? Do you want him to cut off his arm to finally prove to you he can no longer play QB in the NFL? I am a realist, you are a blind lover of a player. Big difference.

Sounds about right 3 months ago. Moore had done nothing and was reported to not know the playbook and had a questionable work ethic. It is a good thing Jake got hurt so we could see the potential I mentioned. Seems he is a gamer and plays better than he shows in practice. Good thing too.

It isn't as easy as you supposed experts think. Here is the contract explanation on jake's contract. Read it and then lets talk reality.

You can't seriously be this silly?

Just as you saying Smitty bailed out Jake for years. But lets forget that when Smitty sat out the first 2 games in 2008, the Panthers were 2-0.

As for Moore you don't think that Smitty bailed him out on the long throw at Tampa or on that long TD throw against Minnesota. Great receivers make quarterbacks look good.
