Panthers are happy with mediocrity

I wonder if Tennessee will get rid of Jeff Fisher after he did the same thing as Fox by starting Kerry Collins who was lifted for Vince Young after they went 0-6. If he comes back, and I believe he will, it will follow the pattern of most successful teams. You don't get rid of a coach for making a bad decision or having a losing season. Fisher is proclaimed a great coach by almost anyone after having poorer results than Carolina has had with Fox. Richardson must not be the only crazy one out there.

I think a more accurate translation would be:

I'm another stupid, typical fan that thinks the only important position on the field are the ones with all the glory. QB is the only true position that really matters.

I also, feel that I am much smarter than the coaching staff, despite my lack if any NFL experience, whatsoever.

Dumb thread, honestly. Do you think anyone in the NFL is happy being mediocre? Come on bro, your frustrated but don't be ridiculous! It could be that the people who own and run the team know or think they know more than you do. Thats why they don't likely sign on the to the carolina huddle, regardless of all the sweet pictures of women and butts, for franchise advise.

Continuing translation: I can do it in Madden, why isn't it done in reality? Watch me, I'm good! :P

Love the ignorance. At least not everyone is cursed with the bliss! lol

This gives the coaches the opportunity to walk away if they so desire. Fox could easily get himself another HC job somewhere else, with a long term contract.

I do wish they would have shown Davidson the door, but such as life.

The Panthers arent bothered by losing. I mean there's no accountability anyway. We could go 1-15 and people will still call Jerry Richardson a great owner. Oh wait! LOL. People dont equate our owner with the business he runs because his business is inconsistent, mediocre, with a losing record. We want to believe our owner who's been the one constant has nothing to do with that. It starts at the top, and if the fans wont hold him accountable, why should he hold his employees? No matter what product is put out there the fans are still gonna dump millions into PSLs every year and buy merchandise. Not alot of pro sports franchises are set up that way and dont have that PSL safety net to consistently give their fans losing teams.

I think Richardson is just getting to old, and worried about a rebuilding process.

He knows he has solid talent.

I am 100% confident we will make a big splash in FA and get us a deep WR core..

Fox only has one year left.. Richardson will give him that to finish what he started, if he cant then he will clean house.

Yep. Be glad he doesn't think like Al Davis, guys!! I'm thankful he is the owner & not Davis.

No, but not every team cleans house after a losing season

True. We did clean house before our 12-4, didn't we? I know we got rid of Foster, Morgan, Wahle, etc. before that season.
