Why is everyone so bent on getting Fox out of Carolina? Hasn't he brought us some good memories? Undefeated at home last year? Has everyone forgot about that? Who would replace him? Not Cowher, just because his daughter goes to college here does not make this his first choice.

Mainly the inconsistencies. We have to trade 1 good season for 1 mediocre one. His proclamation that QB's aren't worth a high investment. His inability to have our team motivated.

What really bothers me is he can't get a mostly healthy team to beat the bills yet he can get demolished roster to beat the vikings AND giants. That kind of inconsistency is just awful.

You can't use the past to help him out, Jake had one of the better QB performances of all time in the superbowl, and showed amazing poise and courage throughout the 03 season but it's time to let go.

Depending on how things go I think we're a lock to make the playoffs next year, but if he stays we're a lock to have a 7-9 season after. That's why we need to look for someone better.

Fox fired = Meeks gone. New coach would likely clean house and bring in all of his own coordinators/etc, and I would hate to see Meeks go. He's turned this defense into something great, and next year with a healthy line, and Thomas Davis back I can only imagine it'd be a thousand times better.

I respect Fox for what he's done for the franchise, and I'm fine with him coming back ONLY IF Delhomme is sitting on the bench. Release McCown/Feely, and draft a QB in round 4-5/late rounds and pick one off free agency, and allow Moore to compete for the role with them.
