lets make this the official "i want this guy thread" lol

im going off the assumption that maybe we can make some trades, pull some strings and get a 1st round pick...(doubt it)

buttt, if we were to get a 1st round pick

my 1st round pick would be sean weatherspoon OLB misouri...

2nd round would be a really really good offensive lineman.

whats your "wish list"

Quick question, why do you want a LB? We are stacked at that position.

If we had a first round pick, I would be happy with any of these guys...

WR- Dez Bryants- Oklahoma State

WR- Brandon LaFell- LSU

DT- Gerald McCoy- Oklahoma

DT- Ndamukong Suh- Nebraska

NT- Dan Williams- Tennessee

NT- Terrence Cody- Alabama

In Rounds 2-3, I would like to have any of these guys...

DT-Brian Price- UCLA

DT- Vince Oghobaase- Duke

DT- Marvin Austin- UNC

DT- LaMarr Houston- Texas

WR- Jordan Shipley- Texas

WR- Mardy Gilyard- Cinncy

WR- Dezmon Briscoe- Kansas

WR- Eric Decker- Minnesota

QB- Sean Canfield- Oregon State

QB- The Golden Calf of Bristol- Florida

QB- Colt McCoy- Texas

QB- Tony Pike- Cinncy

I'm wishy washy on Matt Moore so for that purpose I want Mallett or McCoy if we don't trade up.

However, if we go in a different direction you can go ahead and give me Golden Tate. The guy is a play-maker and would be exactly who we need in that slot or even on the outside so that we could put Smitty in the slot.

Just give me a freaking play-maker at WR other than Steve Smith PLEASE!

A guy that I think could drop to the 3rd round just because of WR depth is Mardy Gilyard who IMO would be a steal.

This draft is going to depend ALOT on what we plan to do in the offseason.

DE is set with Everette Brown and Charles Johnson. I think those two guys are set to take over after Peppers leaves. We could use some depth but nothing that we can't get in FA.

DT is going to depend on what we do with Kemo. I think Irving is a bust and will get cut eventually (another wasted 3rd round pick). But if we decide that 9 million bucks is too much to give to a guy that is coming off a major injury, DT is probably the position we hit first, followed by WR. No matter what...if we don't keep Kemo you can go ahead and bet the house that we will either try to sign Hollis Thomas to another 1 year deal OR go get another stop-gap veteran.

Matt Moore just might have played well enough so far to make it so that we can take a QB a little later...maybe 3rd or 4th round. Right now my ideal offseason would look like this.

Assuming we let Kemo go and save 9 million bucks:

2nd round - WR - Golden Tate

3rd round - DT - Marvin Austin (as much as I hate him he is good)

4th round - QB - Tony Pike (I think he is overrated but would still like to have him)

5th round - WR/RB - Dexter McCluster

6th round - C - Matt Tennant

In the offseason there are a couple guys that probably aren't getting resigned that I'd like to take a look at.

1 - Casey Hampton

- Could come at a good price and could save us from having to rely on young guys for that NT position. 32 years old

2 - Malcolm Floyd

3 - Ladanian Tomlinson

- This is a guy that nobody is talking about. IF and its a big IF we decide to trade Deangelo Williams then we will need a good backup for Stewart. If we could sign Tomlinson in FA he would give us the same kind of runner as Deangelo and we could get 100 or so carries out of him in a season.

4 - Davonne Bess - Exclusive Rights FA for the Dolphins so not likely

5 - Aaron Kampman

The one guy that would be trade-worthy:

Anquan Boldin

If we let Moose walk then another play-making WR becomes a necessity.

Moore's incredible play has made things interesting. I think we still need to bring a quarterback in here through free agency or through the draft, but I'm leaning towards drafting a receiver with that 2nd round pick. This will be a fantastic receiver draft and we will have a great selection to choose from.

And it honestly would make a lot of sense to draft a receiver with one of those many 6th round picks we'll have as well.

1st round, either terrence cody or dez bryant

2nd round, colt mccoy, eric decker, brian price, or brandon graham

3-5th round, an O-lineman, safety, and another d-lineman

6-7th round, jacoby ford, guy can catch, and is blazing fast. and some1 else

id like to have colt mccoy as well. but i dont see it happenin... he might go to the bucs though lol

i want a OLB because it will be a trifecta when we have 3 superstars back there instead of 2 really good ones and one that just gets the job done. you can always use more depth right? id like to have another realy good corner as well that can double as a safety, just to keep the other guys fresh without putting someone weaker on the field.

edit....i just typed that and realized something...

we havent had a kick off/ punt return for a td in like 20 years... we need a special teams guy.. lol
