Really Expect Confident Bryce

If it was up to the huddle, Peyton Manning would've been cut before year 2.

You mean the guy who broke records for completions, pass yards and touchdowns in his rookie year? Do u even google bro? If Bryce looked like he’d be on that pace I don’t think there would be any complaints

I just can't buy into Scenario 2 at all...that seems like the quickest way to destroy Bryce's confidence.  "Hey we're gonna pretend you have an ankle injury so we can get your trash ass off the field".  It's very possible that it was such a minor sprain that he could have played last week but they chose to play it safe and sit him, and maybe a part of that is because of a hostile environment, an outmatched o-line, etc. but to outright manufacture an injury for him is an awful thing to do to Bryce's psyche.  I don't think even Rhule is that dumb to think that would be a net positive.

This is exactly what I have been saying.  COULD he have played through his injury.  Maybe, but at what risk?  Off balance throws, bad habits, or getting a much more serious injury to said ankle leading to him being on IR.  It's not worth the risk at week 3 of an 0-2 season dedicated to his development.  I imagine they are going to play it pretty safe with his health.  Young going on IR early would basically make this a wasted season.  I'm just glad the "Reich is doing it because he didn't want Young" conspiracy has died down to just a soft benching, which as you stated is still a dumb way to handle it.

I mean, you largely just acknowledged the soft benching while claiming it was conspiracy theory.

and you are adding stuff like "because he didn't want Young", which isn't the soft benching argument.  One guy threw that nonsense out there.  Soft benching was simply a breather for the sake of Bryce's development going forward because Seattle just wasn't looking wise for the rookie off the short week given what the O was doing.

You already admitted he was injured.  Are you just going to ignore my original question.  Have the Saints listed the grade of Carr's sprain?  You were crying about Carolina saying nothing more than an ankle sprain without listing the grade.  What grade is Carr's sprain?  Is it listed?

I'm sure you will ignore that just like you ignored Reich literally referencing doctors after claiming he never did and then turning that into "coach speak."  Again they aren't going to play Young through injuries that could be made much worse this year.  This means his injury is the reason he isn't playing.  It wasn't to watch Dalton chunk it 58 times in a loss to Seattle while covering it up with lies by his staff and players.

They have stated (from the Corbett interview) this staff isn’t injecting players with painkillers and having them play through injuries that could get worse. It needed a week to stop swelling. They have said 1-2 weeks from the beginning and it happened on Monday the 18th and he looks like he could be cleared Sunday the 1st. That all adds up. It’s really not as complicated as people are making it. He goes up to Seattle playing on an injured ankle and he can severely injure it and miss the rest of the season. It’s not worth the risk this year at this point in the season. This year is about developing him.

This is my exact quote from yesterday's argument, but yeah I REALLY changed my stance.....

I admitted he got treatment after the game.....along with most starters.  That's routine. His being, his ankle.  They used that as the excuse to give him the breather.  Because he frankly needed it.  Seattle projected bad and would have gone bad for him.

Carr literally went to the hospital after the game.  Where they ran a bunch of test on the shoulder we saw him hurt in the game.  The exact play.

The coach in his very first presser could tell you the act type injury to the shoulder area.    AC joint.  They know that because they ran a bunch of stuff on it and thought it was going to be way worse.

and Carr is out there practicing today, throwing on the injured shoulder, not ruled out, trying to get ready to play.

LOL.  You not having the grade of the AC sprain doesn't make these two things the same.   That some weak kung fu to try to square that.  Especially at this stage, with the way the Saints have been with Carr from Sunday to today.

How do we know Carr went to the hospital after the game?  Oh right, because Dennis Allen said so...and like you said, coaches lie all the time.  Did we get footage of Carr in the hospital?  Did we get his hospital bracelet at least?

Here's what I think happened...Carr was on a short leash after a lackluster start to the season (25th in the league in scoring).  He wanted to give Derek Carr one half of football to see if he could pick it up.  Then when Carr struggled to put up points again in the first half against the Packers, he waited until he took his third sack to have an excuse to soft bench Carr and give Jameis the opportunity to see if he could move the ball any better.  "Oooo that sack looked kinda gnarly, no one will bat an eye if we say he got injured.  *in his earpiece* Hey Derek!  Stay down and writhe around in pain a little bit.  I'll explain later".  Unfortunately Jameis was kinda meh too which is why Allen is still non-commital on which QB he wants to use moving forward.  So in the meantime while he's buying himself time to decide, he faked that Carr went to the hospital.  He got his doctors to lie about it and pretend they did X-rays.  And now he's putting Carr through practice and designating him as "Questionable" until Allen decides who he wants to play.

*I don't actually believe any of the above, but hey it's pretty easy to come up with a theory.  And this one is just as valid and credible as yours.  Can you disprove anything I said?  If not, then sorry but it's the truth.  Sorry, I mean it is my educated guess.

So they still haven't said what grade the sprain is which is one of the EXACT things you were crying about Reich.  Sprained Ankle, Sprained AC joint YOU wanted the grade along with a list of other crazy things (I believe X-Ray came up).  So we are days out from the Carr injury with still no grade.  I personally don't care if they announce it, but you were very much upset with Carolina for not.

Carr is throwing on a hurt shoulder??  Must not be hurt too bad.  Why did they even pull him and mention the injury?  He better play or I am going to be pissed he wasn't in a sling for his arm.

You saw him hurt on an exact play.  Got it.  Now please tell me the EXACT play BC tore his bicep that now has him on IR the rest of the year.
