I agree with some of you guys. Cowher is not a god, nor would he turn us immediately into a Superbowl team.

The fact is, there aren't many other coaches out there better than Fox at this point in the season. If Fox left us, he'd be scooped up to another HC job almost immediately. I would be happy with giving a young guy a chance, but there has GOT to be something to Fox and company if the players are so fervently defending him. I can't believe that you Cowher heads don't realize that they lost playoff game after playoff game. But they put their faith in him and he finally got a Superbowl.

I've never had a bitch with Fox. My only problem (ever since freakin 2004) have been the absolute inability for the Panthers to find a 2nd great/elite WR and since 2006, finding a young replacement for Delhomme.

I truly believe that if you give our team those two keys, they'll play at a high, consistent playoff level. Moore needs to continue to develop, but he is looking good so far. If Fox gets rid of his man-love for Delhomme, I think we might have something...

But thats the problem Kurb. We know we have a great team and it was only one person screwing it up. Fox couldnt see that or he was to loyal to Jake to make the change. I give Fox and Hurney their props they built a great team. They just cant get us over the top. A change of scenery would do both of them good.

That is an arguement.

It's hard to make such a definitive statement like that.

But I did. How many times have you seen it. Team is good but for some reason the coach cant get it over the top. Coach leaves and both the coach and team win a Superbowl the next couple of years. Just think Fox needs a change of scenery and the team needs new blood at the head coach position.

Great News! Fox is a good coach, I know no one likes to hear that here but he is. I'm still going to get Sunday Ticket and I'm still going to cheer for the Panthers. I blame this season on myself anyways, every time I forgot to wear my Panthers shirt we lost. I'm sorry guys.

Good coaches don't miss the playoffs 5 out of 8 years.

Nah, won't happen. Fox's loyalty know no bounds. Trgo and henning were fired only when Fox knew it was them or himself. Not the case here.

Minor correction here.....We didn't fire Trgo - he was offered the job to to return as DC and he turned us down to accept the demotion in Green Bay. Fox is just a stubborn guy and he will never learn.....We haven't won a playoff game in 5 years and his best coaching days are behind us.

HA mediocrity?

Like the Browns/Lions/Raiders/Bengals (75% of the time)/Rams since 2003 ?

We just don't know how good we have had it is the problem.

This place would be so empty if we really had a BAD team.

It's one thing being a bad team and trying to get better only to fail. It's another when you have a team like the panthers that wont try to change because their scared to fail. We will alway's be a middle of the road team with this mentality, not the worst and nowhere near the best... At least those teams try.

Well, it's not like it's a surprise. It's just more par for the course (or more SUBpar for the course). Like everyone else, I am just going to have to wait and hope that we find our way into a successful season). Lord knows that we would be due one, because that's how the Foxball rolls.

BTW, no coach could turn Tampa into a contender within a year, but I am sure that Cowher would have them in success mode within five years time. If he were to come here, IMO we would be a championship caliber team with a couple of years. Fox's record of success really is no comparable to Cowher's, regardless if some want to dream it so.
