as was proven last night, Foxball works when you have a QB that can actually make throws. provided Fox decides to start matt moore next season and efforts are made through the draft to shore up some of the team's weaknesses, i think we'll have a successful season.

That wasn't Fox ball, Had the last two games meant more than playing for pride it would have been more conservative. And the vikings game we were down 7 to 6 going into the 4th, humm.... maybe that was Fox ball.

I agree!!!! Plus having a RB run for 200+ yards in a game like yesterday is not going to happen every week.

Where is the accountablity that the games these past two weeks meant nothing besides pride!! How about the fact this team is missing the playoffs.

Oh well. I will support this team no matter what - I am just tired of Fox's style!!!

Well, that topic is dead.

For the record though, this does not necessarily mean that the entire coaching staff will be back. Danny Crossman could still be replaced.

Nah, won't happen. Fox's loyalty know no bounds. Trgo and henning were fired only when Fox knew it was them or himself. Not the case here.

Cowher doesn't make Tampa a contender.

God help us you people make him sound like the next Don Shula/Tom Landry/Lombardi

How does he not make Tampa a playoff contender? I'm not talking super bowl next year. I'm talking about taking a 3 win team this year and making them a playoff contender which is pretty damn difficult and he will do it.

Just watch...next year at this time if Cowher is coaching Tampa, Tampa and Carolina will be fighting it out for a playoff spot and we will be saying, "Holy sh*t if we had hired Bill Cowher imagine how much better he would have made us if he can do this with TB."

So let's go ahead and spell out the next two years...

Next year we will go 10-6 and make the playoffs as a wildcard if we are lucky and because of that, John Fox will get an extension.

The year after Fox gets his extension we will be exactly where we are right now...8-8 and out of the playoffs.

How the hell do you run an organization and just except mediocrity like this? It astounds me...

Maybe, but I think there are a couple of possibilities.

A) The close call makes Fox rethink some things

B) The return comes with conditions that he make some changes

Is either one likely? Don't know, but both are possible.

HA mediocrity?

Like the Browns/Lions/Raiders/Bengals (75% of the time)/Rams since 2003 ?

We just don't know how good we have had it is the problem.

This place would be so empty if we really had a BAD team.

I will say this if Fox is brought back I will be selling my season tickets next year.

Yeah how much are you looking for and where are they?

I've been saying from the start that he's going to come back unless another team offers him a long term deal which I don't really see happening with the head coaching candidates that are out there.

We'll see how he does next year and the evaluate extending him.
