Jerry Richardson is OVERRATED as an owner in this region. He takes good care of his players and he provides family entertainment to his base, but outside of that there's about 10 owners in this league I'd rather have than him. A player is never going to say his true feelings about a coach or coaches. It's like any boss, some players like them and some don't.

We need a coaching change here in Carolina. A fresh approach/philosophy is always good.

I am not so sure Fox comes back. Sources say that he would be in demand if he were to hit the open market. Without a longterm extension, it is very possible that Fox and the Panthers reach a buy-out agreement.

I think Fox and co will be back simply because Richardson doesn't want to pay him 6 million to do nothing. I suspect Jake is done, though.

Hard to go against Dan's opinion, he's the only one on the board who can speak from experience. Watching Matt the last few games confirmed that their is plenty of talent on this team. Fox and Hurney need to unwind the Delhomme contract, he damages the team to sit on the bench with that guarantee.

Second, I believe that the demise of Mark Richardson provides some advantages where Fox and Hurney lose much of their grip going into 2010. We had a genius in the front office in Bill Polian and the BIG Cat's boys got in his way. I think the Big Cat learned from that, brought in a successor who is quite capable in Danny Morrison. You can bet he is here until he wants to retire, and Hurney and Fox report to him. So the needed changes are underway, Fox and Hurney get reeled in...........

Trgo was offered an extension fyi, and walked.

As I recall TRGO's contract expired and the Panthers would only offer him a one year deal and he walked. Sort of the passive aggresive mindset that permeates BOFA.

I personally feel Foz has to go simply because he has no consistency with his winning seasons, but if he does stay he and Hurney need to face facts, swallow that 20 sumthing mil jake is guarenteed, and release him or make him the highest paid backup in NFL history.
