Fox is a good coach, but after a while it has been easy to see that things aren't changing. He wins one year, loses the next. Its a cycle that hasn't broken. His overall record is decent, but there is MAYBE ONE back to back winning season since he started. Good coach, but not great.

A great coach can give a consistent message to his players no matter if you are winning or losing. It seems that locker room changes game to game....how can we win that way?!?

I won't lie, I'm obviously very disappointed. I think Jerry Richardson is a tired old man who doesn't want to go through the stress of looking for a new head coach. However, as long as they're not getting contract extensions, I won't go take a piss on Jerry Richardson's front lawn yet.

So I'll be changing my sig and avatar back in preparation for next year's 12-4 regular season that will inevitably end with a disappointing playoff loss and then a disappointing 2011 season where we'll win our last 3 or 4 games to go 7-9. Can't wait.

80% of the people in this thread wont have a thing to say about Fox when we are back in the playoffs next year. He can't and won't play Delhomme and we will get a better #2 receiver. We're that close to being good again.

I am not so sure Fox comes back. Sources say that he would be in demand if he were to hit the open market. Without a longterm extension, it is very possible that Fox and the Panthers reach a buy-out agreement.

Not really. It's Fox's MO to do bad, get a weak schedule, make the playoffs, and repeat. No one falls for that anymore besides the stupidest of fans. Except maybe Richardson, unfortunately.
