With JR having close ties with the other owners and players union, this tells me that the negotiations for a new CBA are expected to get nasty with a lockout very very possible in 2011.

For those who are already giving up on the Panthers next season you may want to rethink that. It may be the last football you see played for a while.

Without an extension, I think there is a chance that Fox will bolt. Trgo did this last year.....even though he was not fired. Also, there was a mass exit of Panthers coaches last season and I don't think any of them were fired....they left on their own. Fox is a good coach, and there will be openings in about 1-week.

Trgo was offered an extension fyi, and walked.

I'm fine with the coaches coming back. Meeks will field a top 5 defense with Davis back and an off season of his players practicing the system instead of learning it. Fox isn't dumb enough to let Jake back on the field after all that went down this season. Moore will be the starter. As long as we get a better option at #2 WR, this team makes the playoffs no problem.

I sure hope so and only if the Panthers can bring in Cowher. I am not all on the Cowher bandwagon but I think he is an upgrade over Fox. I love how people say it took him 15yrs to win a Superbowl so give Fox more time....... well at least the Steelers were in the Playoffs ALOT more to give their team that chance!!

If Fox bolts for another job this offseason, he leaves 6 million on the table. His new job offer would have to be really juicy for him to do that and with the possible lockout on the horizon, I doubt any NFL teams will sign him to a long term deal at a good salary.
