Donte has always been a liability. Great teammate and elite speed. Best suited at nickel.

I think you take the dead cap hit of 9m after this year and get out from it. Even though dead cap isnt good, it beats having him on the books for a 15m cap hit next year. You can find an upgrade for 6m or just play a young guy.

There were some pretty good CBs still sitting there with our 2nd rd pick.

And some good/decent WRs in the early/mid 3rd if we were so eager to trade up.
