Moore compared to Brady's early career.

Getting back to reality...

I understand the intent, but this is, shall we say, a tad premature.

These kind of comparisons don't belong until at least after we've seen him start a full season.

Oh yeah? How many seasons did it take before everyone know Chuck Norris was the man? Not even one. I don't know about you, but my money is on Matt Moore by a tooth and a nail, perhaps as much as a football, over Chuck.

:smilielol5: I love the Chuck Norris references to Matt Moore! :smilielol5:

I posted in another thread how Tom Brady saved Belichick's ass. Yes, you can compare Brady & Moore but it's with more than just stats. You have to think outside of that box. It's the situation that compares and it's what Fox does with it that matters. The good luck for Belichick was that Bledsoe went down in game 2 and Fox's bad luck is that Delhomme went down in game 13. With the QB problem covered, Belichick was able to concentrate on fixing the rest of the team (up to that point, the Pats had been playing pretty pooty for years). I expect Fox to do the same, he just has to wait until next year.

Umm.. yes he did. He took over in game 2 in 2001 after bledsoe was injured and never looked back. the first 4 games Brady STARTED, Brady went 3-1 that year and led that team to a 11-5 record. I am comparing Moore's starts this year to Brady's in 2001.

No one is saying that Matt Moore is a HOF'er but it is a legitamte argument that he has the tools and the scenario is extremely similar to how Brady took over. And he has to EARN the rings as Brady did.

Moore has all the skill set, he just needs the reps

:iagree:

Brady became "The Man" because he amazingly went on to win the Super Bowl in 2001, his first year starting. Maybe Moore's year just wasn't long enough and it'll happen next year. idk but I'm looking forward to next season.
