Moore compared to Brady's early career.

Moore was compared to Brady coming out of the draft. Either that or when he was in Dallas. Its somewhere around here

Beaston, you are 100% right. Here are the quick excerpts about it

Excerpt

Moore, who quarterbacked the Beavers to a 10-4 season in 2006, signed a free-agent contract with the Dallas Cowboys shortly after the draft was completed. Moore had been talked up as a possible late-round steal by various ESPN commentators. Ron Jaworski raved about him on Sunday. During an on-air discussions, ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. and Todd McShay were talking about who might be the next Tom Brady, and they both mentioned Moore.

"He got a lot of publicity for a guy who wasn't drafted," said Lynn Lashbrook, one of Moore's agents. Lashbrook is the president of Sports Management Worldwide in Portland. Matt is also being represented by family friend Joe Aloisi, the father of his best friend from Hart High, Matt Aloisi.

Lashbrook said Kansas City, Detroit, Carolina, and Cincinnati were also interested in bringing in Moore as a free agent.

Moore can't throw a ball 64 yards while kneeling down (did you see JaMarcus Russell in that clip on Saturday?) but he does have enough "intangibles'' to warrant a long look by the Cowboys.

OSU coach Mike Riley said last week it was a joke that Moore wasn't invited to the Combine. Riley also said that he firmly believes no quarterback in the country made as many clutch plays as Moore during OSU's remarkable 8 of 9 run in 2006.

Lashbrook thinks Moore will shock the world again, only this time in the NFL. "He handled (not being drafted) well, like he's handled everything else,'' said Lashbrook. "His story is kind of an underdog story. He's always had to overcome a lot.''

Brady didn't come in, go 3-1, and get crowned King of New England,.

Umm.. yes he did. He took over in game 2 in 2001 after bledsoe was injured and never looked back. the first 4 games Brady STARTED, Brady went 3-1 that year and led that team to a 11-5 record. I am comparing Moore's starts this year to Brady's in 2001.

have his superbowl rings donated to him and get free jet flights to Hawaii based solely on that record.

No one is saying that Matt Moore is a HOF'er but it is a legitamte argument that he has the tools and the scenario is extremely similar to how Brady took over. And he has to EARN the rings as Brady did.

Moore has all the skill set, he just needs the reps

What I meant was that it took WAY more than Brady's first four games for his 'coronation.' Look at some of the other recent "QB Sensations" (Anderson comes to mind most of all) that have ended up falling flat after a few more games. Brady played well that entire season ,and his best work came a bit into the season, and that's why he went to the Pro Bowl... it took him a couple years to even be considered one of the top 3 QBs in the league.

Let's let Moore develop more before we crown him, but damn, I hope he has half the career Brady does...

lets not get out of hand here. i don't think it is wise to put matt moore on the same level as tom brady. also, don't forget that tom brady basically took the first couple opportunities he had and ran with it successfully. matt moore is in his 3rd season here. he had a few games in 2007 plus a bunch of preseason games in between. he has not developed at a rate anywhere near brady...slow it down dudes!

he's looked good lately though in some NO pressure scenarios. all i am saying is a "PLAN B" might be smart as long as it isnt Delhomme.

Matt Moore was the first man on the moon, and claimed it by carving a gigantic "M" stretching from horizon to horizon. In his wisdom, he carved it on the dark side, as a warning to any aliens who might even think of attacking.
