Two moments that told me how much confidence the coaches had in Moore

Moore isnt a Franchise QB yet. I still want someone next year that is capable of leading our team besides Moore. Not saying he wont be a starter but if he struggles I want someone that can come in and lead the team.

do you have a personal grudge against him or something? i dont understand how you still cannot see what moore is capable of. i dont know what more there is to ask for from a qb.

short of zeus coming down and writing it in stone every sign in the world is pointing to there not being a CBA signed by next year and even a cursory knowledge of the nfl scene would make this obvious to.

here's the latest

in an emergency to the point that jake is playing they might as well just pull jangler out of the stands

exactly, so who in an emergency would you rather have? mccown or jake?

or how bad is this emergency? Have moore and mccown/feely/cantwell/whatever magic qb you were alluding to acquiring in that earlier mess both gotten hurt, and the only chance is their 14 million dollar fourth string qb?

you're delusional

I didn't mention Feeley, or Cantwell......think there might be a reason for that? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm:rolleyes:

I may be delusional, but you are bound and determined to see what you wanna see, and argue what you wanna argue.

Bring up some more stuff that I never mentioned while you are at it. :D

Part of it is that Moore hadn't played a complete game until today. He keeps improving though and looked great against the Giants.

The other part is QB shell shock. You get so used to needing a QB that even though you have one playing pretty decently for us you're still in "NEED FRANCHISE QB DRAFT 4 AND SEE WHO WINS" mode.

but if we can keep this corps together, our only need to address will be WR, and QB competition/future franchise QB..... ever how you wanna call it.

how about a FS...GODFREY BLOWS and all the giants big plays were right at him

We got a FS(Martin)...Fox just won't play him for some odd reason...

Also, Cut Jake!!!!

there's not going to be a cap next year

even if there was, you're on the hook for 13 million whether you have him or you cut him. Where would you want Jake on gameday? On the sideline or on his ranch?

do you think Jake Delhomme offers this team more as a part of it than off of it?

If there isn't going to be a cap, then we wasted our time whining and bitching about the money we paid him since it only has consequences for this year.

For your other question, it all depends if they want him back and whether he can accept the real possibility of being the vet backup.

Not a personal grudge I just want a capable backup incase Moore falters. Moore has done good but lets see what he can do when teams start to pickup his tendencies. That is when we know how good Moore is and that wont be til next season. So with that said I want a reliable backup.

well there's the question of whether or not jerry richardson would be willing to let jake walk and lose that money.

i was asking you.

There most likely wont be a cap and if that happens everything is a moot point. We will also be able to sign some of our veteran players coming up on FA cheap (Thomas). But you never know there might be a last minute deal. Because once we lose the cap it wont come back.

Given how Jake's one of those that has gotten close with him in the past, I don't think it's a decision he'll want to be taken lightly.

I'm inclined to say yes but that's assuming Jake can take it if they tell him Moore is the starter next season at some point.
