if the team were winning and johnson didn't suck so much (wasn't such a massive waste of money) there is no way they would have IRed him.

this was a great way of hiding the failure that was giving him that giant contract. he got the job over anderson only because he was more expensive. this was their out.

fox killed two birds with one stone here.....

Yes they wouldve. There were four games left. His injury keeps him out three of those games at the least. If played early he would run the risk of injuring it worse. There would be no benefit.
