How many times are you going to let John Fox fool you?

If he had pulled Jake 11 weeks ago we would be in the Playoffs. He gets this team up to play every week. I just cant dismiss that. The only thing JR needs to do is to make sure Jake is not the starter next year IMO. I know he doesn't get involved in how Fox runs the team, But I think this one time he should.

If you think Richardson will be "fine" with having an overpaid QB as a backup, your dreaming!!! If we cut Jake, we'll owe him a lot of money! And if we keep him, in a reduced role, that doesn't look much better.

Fact is, a lot of this comes down to money. AND the owner of our team isn't Snyder! Sorry. We aren't the type of club to throw money at something and be just as a willing to part ways with it too.

The Panthers also have big money issues to deal with. They owe Fox money. They owe Jake big money too. Plus, your dealing with Peppers and his mess.

I don't know what will happen. I do believe, that the Panthers will sign Moore to a long term contract. Jake will be the starter going into camp, because of the money isn't making. It's true. BUT Moore will be given a legitimate chance to win his job. In the end, I think it'll make Jake a better QB (seriously). Some workers need to know their job is in jeopardy in order to flourish. Jake, IMO, is one of those guys. I hope Matt keeps him on his toes. Sort of like McNabb & Vick in Philly.

I do believe Peppers is gone. He had a good year, but at a million a game it was pathetic. He'll test the waters but I doubt anybody will make him the highest paid defensive player like he wants. BUT if happiness for him is being in a different system, outside of Carolina, it is what it is.

As far as draft picks go. I doubt we'll trade up. Moore sort of changes the early desperation pick we thought we needed for a future QB. Instead, I expect us to fill up our defensive and offensive lines.

If we sign anybody in free agency, maybe a wide receiver to take pressure off of Smith. A legitimate deep threat at the right price. We'll see.
