Moore Bandwagon

Matt Moore is doing things (with a backup line) that Jake never did in his best games with a full arsenal. You cannot deny Matt Moore has more skill sets than Jake. Minn. and NY are NOT scrub teams. We have been taking it to NY for the past 4 years and vice versa;always a grudge match. Minn. has one of the best Def. in football. I welcome whoever gives us the best chance to win after some competition in TC. Until then, I will continue to support Moore while he embarrasses other teams.

Fox should have put Moore in week 3 i agree, that's why i can't say he is the answer just yet. Let's see what he does early in a season as a starter when the pressure is on, that's all i'm saying. He is playing great today but let's not put a crown on him just yet. Like i said the Giants Secondary Blows.

Dan, I think most of the Moore bandwagon agrees w/ that statement. Jake was bad enough early where he should have been brought in earlier this year......and Moore is playing better football at this point in his career in comparison to Jake. Moore is the answer this year and should have been the answer earlier.

I don't think 90% of the Moore bandwagon wants to give him the job w/o a quality vet and drafted rookie legitimately in a competition for the job next year.

the Giants secondary may blow....but Moore also helped Carolina stomp Minny. He is 5-2 as a starter and has proven he can get the ball to the playmakers and let them do the work.....and he isn't a liability and imo that is all a Fox QB needs to be able to do.

Do you think Jake will retire? I think Jake catches to much shiat...dude seems like a great guy and imo would be a huge asset as a backup in Carolina.

You have to realiase there is not much game tape on Moore. Once Defenses start figuring him out he could struggle. Right now he is doing a good job but it would be foolish to say he is a franchise QB and that he could lead the team next season. Bringing in some competition doesnt hurt a thing. Something we should have done with Jake.

After the playoff debacle of last season, I advocated on these boards for an open QB competition to see who gave us the best chance to win in the preseason. Fox elected to stay with Jake. Now Moore is getting a fair shot to show what he can do. These games mean everything to the team we're playing, they are not sitting their starters down or playing 'the scrubs'. While it's way too early to annoint Moore as "the Answer", he has certainly earned a fair evaluation as the team's starter next year. It will be interesting to see how Moore performs against NO with Smitty out. If the Vikes win on Monday Night, then next Sunday's game between us and the Saints may become quite important.

Moore is more mobile than Jake, and that has already paid some dividends. As he gets more comfortable with the offense, the team appears to be responding to him in ways they didn't for Jake this year. Moore is making good decisions and executing quite well. I think his performance allows for the team to NOT have to worry about a QB draft or FA acquisition, instead, those things can be used to address the OTHER glaring needs of this team, like O and D line depth, WR, and special teams. I don't know if Moore is the guy we need, but I certainly feel good about what I've seen so far.

Dan hates Matt Moore. It's obvious. Competition is always good, but don't try to knock Moore's performance by saying the Giants defense sucks. What was the excuse last week against Minny? Give Moore a legitimate chance in camp to win the job. He deserves it.

Vick sucks.

Franchise? No.

Stopgap or transition? Very possibly.

He's got a job with someone next year for certain. I'd prefer it be us.

I completely understand why Dan would want to bring in Mike Vick, Vick is explosive and mobile. He can throw the long ball not completely accurate but the receiver can adjust to the pass. Dan and Vick went head to head twice a year, so he knows what Vick is capable of. As i recall Morgan is probably the only person that has ever kept Vick in check. Im not a Vick fan at all, I hate him and everything he has done off the field, but I stick with my favorite players and their decisions...None of the fans that just post blogs on this site have experienced what Dan experienced and bringing Vick in can heat up the competition at the QB position in training camp. I like Matt Moore and what he has been doing the past few weeks, his stats woulda been better in today's game also if Moose wasn't interfered with on the bobbled pass...(there was no flag on the play how ironic)...maybe Moore's play is a fluke, but im enjoying it while it lasts. Nothing better than to see a horrid season end on a good note...

See, I would say franchise possibly, maybe a 1 in 5 chance. But there are so few true franchise QB's, that its hard to say. I don't think he will ever be a Brady or Peyton Manning, but think he could end up being as good as someone like Eli Manning or Tony Romo.

The guy has decent strength, his accuracy in improving, and he has good mobility. He will have his ups and downs, especially as more teams develope more knowledge of him, and our offense with him. But he does show some potential, more than any rookie we might draft.

That being said, we should definitely try to pick up someone in the draft. I hope our coaching staff has learned not to put all its confidence in one player.
