Hackett > Jarrett

Is this a joke of some kind?

Jarrett has been making clutch catches on third down all season. He is our ace in the hole. The sure handed WR that only takes the field when we need a big catch and Jake looks for him every time he's out there.

Big body, projectable frame, and is learning from Steve Smith to take abuse to make the play.

He's going to be a player. Hackett can't get off the IR.

I figure that Hackett was in there because based on practice, he gave the team the best receiving threat. Doesn't mean anything more than that. In 2 weeks things may be the same or different. Fox isn't likely to have favorites at this time of year. It is about producing or sitting, for players and teams. Jarrett is going to be here for a while. At least until his rookie contract is over. He is worth what we are paying him.

    • The final spot has to be between Renfrow and Moore and pending how he looks after the year off, I might lean Renfrow. We now have our offense of the future in place if they pan out, this season has one main goal and it's expediting the growth of this very young group of skill position players.  Chuba, Rico, and Tremble have each played 4 seasons and are the most experienced skill position players on the team other than Dalton, Thielen, Moore, and now Renfrow.  With Moore and Renfrow then being cut at the expense of one of those UDFA's if we kept one. Having Dalton and Thielen as the only two skill position players on the active roster with more than 4 years of experience doesn't seem smart. We don't need more lottery tickets, coaches can only do/teach so much, we need vets for these guys to learn from so we get the best out of them and have our offense for hopefully the next 5-8 years in place pending being able to afford them all.
