Trading the best player on our offense huh?? Is this really a discussion right now?? ESPN is stupid and any Panther fan that would sacrifice DWill for an unproven rookie QB is a jackass. Matt Moore is playing good football for us. I'm not sayin he's the answer but he is playin good football. I say we go sign us a veteran QB that will push Moore for that starting spot and worry about more pressing issues. DWill is one of the best RBs in the league the thought of him leaving makes no sense to me and is ridiculous. I really cannot believe this is a topic on this board right now. We are tryin to improve, not go backwards. Stewie is good but we all kno he's no DWill period. We r a running team, so lets get rid of one of the best RB in the league??? Makes no sense!! Come on Panther Fans!! I know we want a Franchise QB, but trading DWill is not the answer.

A solution. Draft a top 5 WR. Yes Matt does some to be getting better and has a chance. You say sign a veteran QB. We need another WR. Smith is not getting young and still has some moves. But help would be extremely appreciated

Hey SMF, I realize you are the all knowing power of the Panthers and the NFL. But some of us try to stick to the thread. Don't get your ego too hurt if no one responds to your question especially if you didn't start the Thread.

So to appease your ego, There is no logic to trading DeAngelo over Jonathan. Personally I wouldn't trade either and if I had to choose it would be JS. And that would have to be a pretty solid penny.

Couple of reasons I know this is bogus. One we would not discuss trading a player while the season is still going on. Two as I stated before, this is probably because ESPN trying to cause a distraction in the Panther Locker room cause the Giants are worried we are gonna kick their ass. Three, D Will is worth two 1st rounders no matter how high the choice.

You are crazy. If there is anything that has been proven in the NFL it is that offensive line play plays just as much of a role as great RBs do in running production. We have probably the best run blocking line in the league. We just had a guy run for 100+ yards on arguably the best run defense in the league...with an unproven, rookie QB.

If we could get Jimmy Clausen, Bill Cowher, and Charlie Weis for Deangelo Williams then IDC how much we all love Deangelo...You have to do it.

QB is the only position that is truly holding us back this year...

NO Way in hell you trade a running back with a 5.0 ypc average. I don't care who is the top prospect. There are too many question marks on an unknown QB to give up that kind of talent.

If the NFLPA and Owners don't come to an agreement. The rights to a player goes from 4 years to 6 years. So D'Will won't be going anywhere. We will sign him. And if the CBA goes back into effect then we will Tag him.

On topic, it's pure insanity to consider this. He's the franchise. He's a hell of a guy too, so you not only get a great player, you get a community leader as well.

I know Matt hasn't been spectacular, but we're 2-1 with him at QB this year, and that one loss was in Foxborough. Give the guy credit, he'll never be Peyton Manning, but neither will anyone else.
