Tony Brown used to be a Panther.

Mr. Fox cut him.

Yep. Big mistake I see him as one of the best penetrating UT in the game. I would love to see him back but I don't think he would come back. We need a UT like Brown or if Brian Price is available when we pick in the 2nd.

I would rather get Brown back and save the pick but even if he is willing to come I doubt the Titans just let him walk. I don't think they can afford to let Brown get away after they were force to let Haynesworth go (due to the deal he made to sign the Fran Tag the year before).

They will either tag Brown, or Vanden Bosch. Hopefully Vaden Bosch, because I really want Brown back.

Me to. But if I was the Titans I know which one I would let go, Vaden Bosch. 4-3 DE are a dime a dozens in the later rounds and as FA due to so many teams are switching to the 3-4. The DE that arent big or strong enough to play at the 5 tech in the 3-4 or have the athleticism to play OLB are cut or traded for little. Good UTs (3 Tech) are harder to find IMO.

I wish Thomas were 8 years younger.

THIS.

And let Peppers walk, we need that Cap more than anything right now.

there will be "good" , "young", and relatively "cheap" D-line talent this offseason

And I strongly believe Johnson is ready to start.

Kampan (sp?) would be a viable option, Gholston though? He ain't worth the time.

Gholston just need his hands in the ground, screw all of this hybrid OLB in 3-4 garbage.

In Ohio he was damn near unstable with his bull-rush, and outside speed ownage, hopefully "we" or some 4-3 team take another LB wasting his talents in NY

Leonard and Tank Tyler are must keeps imo. Evaluate Kemo's progress and see if he can make a return. BTW I really like Hollis Thomas but I really don't know if his body can handle it. I'd be willing to part ways with Lewis I think he's just too average for what we pay him and a better starter should be in his place. Perhaps Tyler can take his spot next year.

Thomas should be back at least next year in case this same thing happens again; he has been an excellent band-aid for the D-line.

I highly doubt Kemo will play like he once did.

We talking unstable like Dynamite unstable? Or Coo-coo-for-Cocoa-Puffs unstable?

Kemo is due a 9 million dollar bonus next year. He will probably be a cap casualty if we keep Peppers. If we don't keep Peppers then I can see us sucking it up and paying the bonus just to have big difference-maker on the line.
Dont Kemo and Lewis have a option bonus?

yes, the $9mil they are due is an option. their current contracts run out after the 2010 season unless we give them an extension in which case they will get a $9.3mil bonus. if we don't give them an extension or exercise the bonus in march then we will get kemo for $750k next year and lewis for $755k next year.

kemo, just because he is a giant NT is more worth keeping around, esp. for $750k. lewis...not so much. we have enough talent at UT available that we could do without him.

NT...i say we keep kemo, hollis, and leonard. both kemo and hollis are injury risks but are too valuable to just cut loose, imo. going with those three should give us enough to get through the year.

UT...tank and irvin should stay. i would like to see us go after another UT somewhere but i could see us just going with 2 UTs on the active roster and using brayton and johnson as depth for UT.

@ DE...brayton, johnson, brown, and FA pickup/draft pick. preferably another speed rusher.

we need to be looking at replacing peppers. sure his good games are flat out awesome but his bad days are just flat out expensive. there are too many bad days, imo. he's not a consistent performer and i'd rather him be some other teams headache/headcase. i would love to trade him to the cards and if the cards do well in the playoffs again, i can see that as a realistic possibility for him. i think he'd bite on that and would be willing to get to a cap friendly contract to facilitate that. trade him for boldin. that would be a win/win for both teams.

I would only keep Pep if he signs a reasonable long term deal. The reasonable part is unlikely so he needs to walk. I had rather have a player that shows up for a good game every week than one that shows up for a great game 3 or 4 times a year and is a non factor of the rest of the games.
