Delhomme to IR

The end of Delhomme in Charlotte. THANK GOD! Now I hope Fox follows him outa town.

I hope the bold is true. I dont ever want to see Delhomme on the sidelines or on the field playing for the Panthers ever again!

Of course, he'll probably be back next year, especially if Fox is still here.:(

Just rechecked. Here are our 3 option with Jake.

1. Cut him before June 1st. If we do that his signing bonus $13 million will count against the cap this year.

2. Cut him after June 1st and his his Bonus of $4.3 million will effect the cap in 2010. With the rest of the 8.7 million hitting the 2011 cap.

3. Keep him and just the prorated bonus and his salary effect the cap.

Now this doesnt even take in the fact that a new CBA is going to be done or we are going to be uncapped next season. But looking at it right now (if I read it right ) We need to keep Jake until atleast after June 1st. With that said also if we do lose Peppers during the offseason we will be sitting pretty as far as cap space is concerned.

Smart money is at 12:01 on June 2, he is toast.

moore knows the system as does mccown. jake has shown he cant be counted on anymore after the zona game and this year. moore has shown he is a capable short term starter atleast. thats more than i expect from jake anymore. if we want to bring in a starter via trade of FA, there is no reason to bring jake back at 10 mill a year to be the 2nd backup and #3 qb. eat the money in 2010 to have some in 2011 to resign key FA, and maybe bring 1 in. one way or another we are paying him next year, why prolong the hit till 2011? in the mean time, bring in someone with potential for the #3 qb spot (like we did with moore). if we are down to jake coming in next year to save our season, or a game, we would need a miracle for jake to play well enough. he hasnt the last game of 08 or this year, and age isnt on his side.

Many of you do not seem to realize we pay Jake 12 mil + if he is here or at his horse farm.

We will win more if he is at the farm and I will be much more relaxed.

Why is is you do this to yourself. Time and time again you make these rash spur of the moment declarations which usually are so off the mark it's unbelievable.

Could it be what you say? Possibly, but why stick your neck out like that when you honestly have no idea whatsoever.

Simple? He's done here and no other team will sign him. I doubt he would want a position with another team anyway.

Not so hard to predict.

What's funny is that I'm nearly always right. Can you point out some predictions of mine that have been off the mark rather than my hilariously optimistic prediction of 10-6 this season back in June?

so we can pay him 12+ to sit and watch or send him home and keep a roster spot open for a via the draft. i would perfer any to find a way to bring in a guy with upside, jake has 0 at this point. do some of you want to go into next season with the primary qbs being moore, delhomme and a rookie? thats scary as moore hasnt proven he is a full time starter yet, jake has proven he isnt any more, and we have rookie to throw into the fire if they flop. great idea. i would take, campbell, troy smith and a host of others to come in and atleast compete for the job at the aproximately 4 mill relief we get minimum per year than have to endure captin over throw again.

Never said he hadn't lost the ball as of yet, and I KNOW you can't be seriously comparing turnovers between the 2.

All QB's turn the ball over every now and then, ALL......but 3-6 times a game average like Jake.

Get da fvck outta here.

He atleast knows how to roll away from it far better than Jake, and knows how to throw it away far better than Jake instead of forcing an INT or fumble for6. I don't think Matt has done that yet.

Don't go there.

Was talking about Jake, my man. He crumbles in a collapsing pocket...hence sack fumble...
