It's all about the QB's in the NFL now

I remember what I posted, that seems to be better than you have done. These are your posts in reply to mentions that it's a nickel. In actuality, nickel more applies to personnel package (the use of 5 DBs) rather than total defensive alignment.

One of your links talks about replacing LBs with quicker safety type players. That means smaller which will hurt you against the run. PERIOD. A power running team like the Panther will shred it assuming they had an average QB..

Wow, did you look through all the information I provided. I guess not. Because everything you are saying is real stupid right now.

First, your quotes of myself are taken out of context. I already said that it could be considered part of the nickel family, but it is nothing like the other nickel defenses. That has been my whole argument that you can't seem to grasp.

And no, power running teams won't destroy this defense. It's the same players we have out there anyways! I'm not suggesting we get smaller as a defense. Look back at the first page. I already gave the players I would put in there. For the most part, it's the same players we already have out there.

If you want to call it a nickel defense go ahead. I already explained this 200000 times it seems like. From now on, if it makes you feel better, instead of calling it the 4-2-5 like it is usually referred to, I will call it by the formations its intended to use. I will now call it the 4-4/4-3/3-3/3-4 defense.

Would you know like to call the 4-4/4-3/3-3/3-4 defense a nickel defense?

Edit: Another reason it is strong against the run is because it is a gap control defense with easily defined run fits.

Your inability to present the benefits of this defense at an NFL level is an insult to the folks here that are trying to understand your arguement. It doesn't matter if you play it or not. If anthing, that makes you biased. It doesn't matter that it has appeared successful against part time players in Div 3. Full time NFL player read and react on both sides of the ball. Continue to be offended.

Maybe you should look at the first page again. I already specifically said that it wasn't a serious suggestion and that I was only doing it for the fun of the imagination of seeing what players I would put where in that kind of defense.

Again: NOT A SERIOUS SUGGESTION!

Every post you make that points out a supposed mistake of mine has already been covered in my earlier posts showing that you are making assumptions, not reading, or not comprehending, or a combination.

Also it's not only a D3 defense. I know personally that Virginia Tech and TCU use this defense. Probably others too. You ofcourse would know that if you had read my earlier posts. Just more evidence that you are ignoring everything I say except what you want to read.

And how exactly am I biased? We aren't trying to prove what defense is the best or anything here. All I've been trying to do is explain what the defense is and how it works. I am knowledgeable about the defense because I play in it. That's not bias.

That is like calling a math major biased when he says that 2+2=4.

Dude, one of the major reasons you are getting negative posts are because you are constantly referring to the people "you know" and how you play football and such. No one really cares and all it does is bring down your argument.

I've been trying to help your argument but you keep killing it!

I used to as credibility AFTER the argument started.

They wouldn't listen to my points. That's why I made most of my points like 5 times. It doesn't really matter now any way.

I understand, but your argument was fine anyway. Seems like they just wanted to get technical. Must be something to do with family and Christmas. :)

Yea, I just get fired up easy that's all. I have nothing against any of the posters, I was just frustrated that what I was trying to communicate was not being comprehended. In some instances, I think they just didn't read my posts careful enough and in some instances I think I didn't communicate what I was trying to get across well enough so it's no ones fault.

I think I need to bring this back up

The passing game is the new trend now in the NFL, not running the ball. Passing first, running second. If you cant pass, you dont win. As long as you can run effectively, you're fine. One reason I think its time to move on from Fox

You dont want to trade D.Will for a top pick to get a QB... rather sign a veteran QB... fine. But if Demaryius Thomas, the freak of nature, is still there. Pick him. If we or whoever dont, will regret it. Unless they get Tate, who will improve into something come NFL time. The combine isn't exactly everything and all... but wait till it comes. Somethings you just dont pass up on
