It's all about the QB's in the NFL now

It's a nickel

Some coaches that play it routinely don't like the gimicky name and choose to call it a 425, but by the fdefinitions that you chose to ignore, IT'S A NICKEL.

I never ignored it, in fact I acknowledged it as correct. It's amazing how people can not understand.

This is the point: No matter what you call it, the defense I am suggesting (give it a name) is not a defense that is normally run in the NFL. That's the whole point.

Meanwhile, everyone is arguing it with me about what this defense should be called. Yes, it is a type of nickel defense, but it is much more than that. It can also be called a 4-4 defense and it's the exact same thing. So what now, how is it a nickel then smart asses.

Apparently your so smart you don't even know what a community college is. Maybe you should figure that out.

did you make it to the Cranberry bowl this year?

Thanks ;)

Actually cool that you play unlike the rest of who are sitting in front of a corp desk. Congrats chief, seriously.

I guess you didn't read any of my posts. I realize that any defense with 5 DB's can be called a nickel defense, but a true "nickel defense" normally does not refer to this defense but isntead a package that is put in for passing situations such as 3rd and long. I already gave sources that were much better than wikipedia.

Edit: How many times have I now said this yet no one has acknowledged this point. Y'all keep coming back saying the same thing over and over again and I have already addressed it multiple times. Please, learn to read.

It's called being under 20.

i know i have heard this before, but what person would you want where. explain it to me in detail and how it would be used any diff than the 4 3 with one lb playing the line. would you put

pep

lewis

kemo

tyler/johson

johnson/brayton/brown

I know there are alot of smart ass people on this bord myself included so i will say i am not trying to be smart here. I really just cant figure how you see that. Are you trying to do it to stop the run or as a way of hiding your blitz?

DE-UT-NT-UT-DE...any variation on the inside would work. 2 NTs and an UT, DE-NT-UT...whatever. use the 3 on the inside to occupy the 5 OL and let the QB have to worry about the two DEs on the end. you could do the same thing with a rushing OLB on one side.

and, yeah, stuff the run, disguise blitzes, or just have a constant rush....whatever. it isn't something to do as a base defense. just as packages.
