What's with all these morons thinking either players are dubbed franchise quarterbacks within two weeks of starting or they're finished in the NFL? We're obviously seeing what we got with this kid, and so far we're already looking like a stronger team with a different player under center. Honestly now, keep in mind that we're the Panthers from Carolina. When was the last time we even tried getting a quarterback in the draft? I hate when people nonchalantly say "oh let's draft a qb" like we're the f**king bucs and we get one every other round of each draft.

Matt Moore on Sunday:

21/33 299 yards 3 TDs 0 INT

Can Delhomme put up those numbers against an 11-2 team? No

Can McCown? No

AJ Fee-naw f**k that

You think a low-drafted (honestly this is the only spot Panthers would look for a QB) quarterback can put up numbers like that in their first season against an 11-2 team? No, they have to learn how to play first, and are you really willing to wait that long? You guys aren't even patient enough to see how Moore turns out. I bet if Moore were drafted, people would be more content with what we got, but no, we need drafted quarterbacks in order to win, right?

I see what you are talkin about and agree that low drafted qb shouldn't be automatic winners. I think just drafting a qb in the middle rounds wouldn't hurt & hopefully won't be needed if Moore keeps cashing in victories like last week.

this is something that you have been reacting to but i just don't see it being done. saying that he's better than jake isn't saying that he's awesome but everytime that someone makes a statement saying that moore is better or has done better, you feel it necessary to jump in and act as if they are proclaiming him awesome.

the bar is set low with jake. moore jumped over it. it wasn't a huge accomplishment but still he did it, regardless of what you say.

the numbers just flat out say that moore is better this year than jake. spin it however you want but that is the way it is. what is sad is that moore is doing better than an 11 year vet with 100 regular and postseason starts under his belt, not to mention the 1 superbowl appearance, 2 NFCCG appearances, and a probowl game.

moore, a scrub QB who went to 3 colleges only playing in two taking a break between to play baseball, undrafted picked up by the cowboys and placed on the practice squad, who had only 3 starts 2 years ago and who was the QB3 coming into the season....this guy has out played the best QB in panther history. i think this is what is troubling for a lot of people.

is acknowledging all of that saying that he is awesome or is a lock for the starting job next year? nope. i consider it just stating the obvious.

thinking that the kid has potential is very reasonable. saying that he deserves a shot at the starting job, especially if he continues to get better...reasonable as well. that is about all that you are finding from anyone.

As I said some in my post, most aren't declaring him great and I agree with that. The Jake haters (and they are real) still are exaggerating things and declaring Moore a lock to start next year not so much because they even believe he is all that great but because they are afraid tha Jake might be here and win the starting job back next season. They want anybody but Jake no matter what. Is he better right now than Jake, yes. Will he be better next year? Depends on whether one or both of them are even here next year.

I think you have to be encouraged by Moore's fourth quarter against Minnesota. But you also have to be reserved about the fact that until that offensive outburst we were at 6 points going into the fourth quarter and for most of the time he looked pretty awful. But I think he has shown enough to deserve the start against the Giants.

If you look at my signature, it tells it all. I just want truth and accuracy in the bitching and whining. I will respond when someone goes way out in left field good or bad.

I am glad Moore is doing well. It felt great coming out of the stadium on Sunday after a cold night of tailgating and watching. I hope he is awesome for the next 2 games and gets resigned for next year. Anyone who is a real panther's fan, wants the team to do well no matter who is playing.

Actually, I don't think he looked that bad at all most of the game. The first 3 possessions were bad, yes. However, there were a couple drives in the 2nd or 3rd quarter (I can't recall off the top of my head) that he made good passes that would have been completed if the receiver hadn't been interfered with. Unlucky for us, there were two interference calls that I believe should have been called that were not and put an end to a drive that could have continued.

Nobody knows how Matt Moore is going to fair as our starting quarterback. I think he need to get alot more experience under his belt and if he does perform well these last two games then I say let him have the chance of being our quarterback next year. He can throw it down the field and can put up points he showed us that. He doesnt have to come out and put up number like peyton, because our offense is more focused on the run. All we need is someone who can move the ball through the air pretty good, so that opens up the running game.

I bet if it were a first round draft pick doing what Moore is doing, there would be a celebration going on in this board.

Let's be honest, so far, Moore has done what everyone has asked of him to do, and he deserves his chance.

This.

The best drive of the game imo was the 1st score....that was great long drive against a very solid D.
