I think it's safe to say he is way better than Bryce already....

He has a worse online, worse RB, and worse wr and has looked miles better.

Sucks but we blew that pick

That's just not true. He's not throwing into a bunch of tight windows all game. His guys are open and he's finding them.

The "fandom" on this board is lacking.  Maybe the Texans have room on theirs. Might I add, there is nothing wrong with pointing out problems but some if you seem to be wishing failure upon the QB we did draft for the "I told you so" factor. I don't feel like we should be flying "the omg he's a bust" flag after 2 games. One guy can't carry the whole team and coaching staff on his back even though that would be great if one player could make such a difference.

It's definitely looking iffy. Still lots of time though. But Bryce Young basically has to play as good or better than Stroud when he comes back. Enough of the excuses. Get back to basics and just play ball.

I compared him to cams rookie performance you could argue that's not fair but I call bull poo . We traded away a lot more assets to get Bryce, Cam was our last #1 overall pick and he balled from game 1

I just hate how divided the Bryce pick made our fan base. And it's going to get progressively worse until he improves his performance,  regardless of the reasons why he's been underperformed.

I was griping that we picked young and I think I was almost banned here in the off season so I just stopped. All was trying to say is people here just didn't even consider the possibility that Bryce would fail and thats why everyone here is reacting so badly to his underperformance. Almost everyone got sacked up in to the hype train and it was a tsunami that drowned out any dissenting voices.

any reasonable person knew this would be a very tough year. Scott or whoever said this season would be special was dumb for saying that and just doing media talk I suppose, but anyone who knows the bare minimum on this team should have known this would be a 4 to 6 win season. the hype train has not helped Bryce at all but hopefully outside of this board most know we've played 2 good defenses (1 that is dominant and top 5) with the worst wr corp in the NFL... and it might not be close.

He doesn't. No matter how much yall keep saying it.

Are you watching the Texans' game?

If you are and you don't see a difference in separation for receivers, then you have an ulterior motive. It's not even close. If you can't see his recievers making plays for him, then... well you just don't want to see it. Bryce is not perfect. He's made mistakes. But his surrounding cast hasn't really helped. Whereas CJ's guys are just making plays and contested catches.

    • I don't get the Hunter hate. Just imagine his ceiling if he stopped trying to be this 2way freak and focused on one side of the ball
    • 100%.  You have to play the cards that are dealt.  Not the cards you wish were dealt.
    • I'd say its definitely going to be addressed this off-season.  We went into the last draft with a roster of RBs including:  Chubba, Blackshear, and Miles Sanders. We picked Jonathan Brooks in the second and still signed Rashaad Penny afterwards.  Fast forward....One turned into a top 10 back, 1 is injured/out for most if not all the '25 season, 1 retired, 1 will either take a huge paycut or be cut, and the last is a restricted free agent. We brought in Mike Boone as well. Add him to the free agent list also.  We need a physical option.    Which qualifies:  Ashton Jeanty(Boise St): Overall ranked Top 10. Almost 2k yards after contact, 28 tds. Would take our first rounder. My money would be on an NFC East team selecting him. (97.2 PFF run grade) - 121 forced missed tackles.  Omarion Hampton(UNC): Ranked everywhere from 20 - 59 overall. Consensus #2 back after Jeanty. He'll be a second rounder. 1,222 Yards after contact w/ 15 tds.  (90.5 PFF run grade) - 72 forced missed Tackles Kaleb Johnson(Iowa): Ranked from 38 - 69 depending on which media outlet you prefer but generally #3. 2nd/3rd possibly. 1,060 Yards after contact w/ 21 tds.(86.7 PFF run grade)- 66 forced missed tackles Cam Skattebo: Ranked from the 50's - 104. Every mock I do he ends up BPA at some point. 969 Yards after contact w/ 17 tds(92 PFF Run Grade). Probably the best receiving back of the group. 81 forced missed tackles.  If the '24 and '25 draft classes were combined, IMO the rankings would be, in order: Jeanty, Hampton, Brooks, Johnson, Skattebo. I wouldn't take one high but I'd take one for Chubba and Brooks insurance.
