Are you watching the Texans' game?

If you are and you don't see a difference in separation for receivers, then you have an ulterior motive. It's not even close. If you can't see his recievers making plays for him, then... well you just don't want to see it. Bryce is not perfect. He's made mistakes. But his surrounding cast hasn't really helped. Whereas CJ's guys are just making plays and contested catches.

In case you haven't heard, we don't need good receivers. Bryce is supposed  to "throw them open."

Dumb so called Panther fans salivating over CJ Stroud, that ship has sailed, maybe his coaching staff is putting him in  a better position to succeed, but I  know  it's Bryce Young's fault, only played 2 GAMES so far, with all these veteran coaches and players been in the league for years so it has to  be him,he's the reason for all the failures at this point.

CJ is also dropping dimes into dudes arms 20+ yards down field.

BY needs help for sure and I'm not giving up on him.

But acting like CJ isn't playing very well for a rookie is ridiculous

Bro. I've seen him put balls exactly where they needed to be and receivers couldn't make the play. He is throwing them open. They just aren't making plays yet.

And meanwhile Houston has a fullback run back an 85 yard kickoff return for a TD.

I NEVER said that. I said his guys are open and he's finding them. He's playing very well. They were always 1a and 1b in the draft to me. Just who fits your offense.

Yes im watching the game, the difference is i understand football as well. Last possession stroud put a pass on the money 3rd down for collins where only he could get it and it was dropped. Collins was covered but the ball was put right in his hands. Thats what makes stroud stand out, you do realize that Terrace marshall had more receiving yards last year than collins who is texans best receiver right? Collins already has 230 yds in 2 games this year but i guess thats because he is such an incredible talent right?  I can keep can going but there is no need.

As of this point Bryce hasn't given his guys a chance to make contested catches, remember NO SEPARATION, and holding onto the ball.

You are arguing from both sides of the candle stick.

You can't blame the receivers why Byrce isn't forcing it because tight windows, and then blame them for not making contested catches that Byrce isn't throwing.

It's not JUST the receivers. The playcalling is lacking too. He's asking guys to do things they can't do yet.

Huh? Come on guy. I could show you a dozen plays where guys have dropped the ball or just couldn't get to catchable passes.

He's had a pretty good connection percentage with Theilen, and hasn't really targeted Chark. The only receiver whose been targeted plenty with a low connection rate is Mingo.

So where are all these drops coming from?

    • They gave him franchise QB money. Sorry but if you don't earn it you can be embarrassed.   He's rich he can take it. Stop feeling sorry for people who can't live up to their contract. This isn't a sport to be soft. Daniels deserves to give back some of that money he stole if you ask me.
    • And it was coming off of a bye week. Perhaps he should vacation a bit in Germany in the off season, something certainly seemed to help him there.  No, really... He showed maturation and the possibility that he's turning a corner. That wasn't the NY Giants out there, but the back to back Super Bowl champions with the #3 defense in the league, with them coming off of a prime time loss. And that was a 9-1 team we just played literally down to the last second. Bryce played so well that maybe, maybe he wins over some nay-sayers. It's still early, though, but what a nice breath of fresh air that was. You can win quite a few games if that is your normal performance. It is obvious that we are still on the learning curve, though. But that was one helluva test he just took. Some of these QBs coming out of college just don't have a lot of games under their belts, especially in top end programs. They are perhaps just a year to two years behind center in games that matter before they move up. It can take them some time to hit their stride. We can still be cautious about our future and still celebrate a great game by the kid, though, and we should. He earned the laurels today, or had before they were snatched away at the last second.
