If the offense is halfway decent under Dalton

I have a full size popcorn maker in my man cave but it will be unable to keep up with the entertainment this scenario would bring. You think the Huddle is a poo show now? Oh wee mayne. If a washed up vet comes in and looks better than our shiny new #1 overall pick the wailing is gonna be deafening.

Dalton will make a wow play from time to time and may even get us on the board but just like Darnold he will eventually have one or multiple boneheaded plays that sink the game for us. It won't be pretty in Seattle which is a tough place to play anyway.

The two are very different QBs. It is completely possible that Dalton throws 2+ TDs and 250+ yards and the huddle implodes so hard that rips the fabric of space and time causing a black hole that consumes every fan and then eventually itself, turning us into the new Cleveland Browns.

I mean, you knew Dalton was starting after the presser yesterday with Frank.  He said it without saying it.

- Bryce has a mystery ankle injury from an unknown play

- Frank can't even tell you why type of sprain they think it might be

- He then bragged about Bryce standing up on that bad ankle to watch Dalton all walkthrough.

It's a short week to deafening Seattle....big injury, little injury, no injury......sitting young makes sense after what Frank has put him in to start the season.  Get a functional offense up and running before throwing Bryce into it.  Not sure that they have the talent to be that or Frank has any clue how to get it functional yet with this skill talent.  Do that, then insert Young into it.  No talented QB can grow in this current setup.

I don't get that.

I'm just a fan who wants to win, if it's Dalton if it's Bryce just get the W.

    • I see you're another football guru who uses one ranking and has that as the pinnacle of all rankings.. Pro Football Network has them top 20 overall. I'm not disputing that we had a middle of the pack OL last year. And I'm not disputing whether Moton has been good or will be good again this year. My reasons to get rid of him now are valid to me.  I would argue we could bring in Membou and that ranking would be no worse then last year. And we would have a young piece for the future that can play both tackle positions. If you would like to discuss your reasons for wanting to keep Moton, then that's fine. But don't act like a child and comment "STFU". That just proves your ignorance! When we have to overpay to keep him next year, or lose him for nothing, I don't wanna hear all the crying!
    • Thanks Ice and Juan.  I appreciate people who produce and bring content to the table.   Without further ado, my reactions, and I will try to be "laconic" (word of the day): 8- Edge/LB Jalon Walker:  A great football player.  He must be used properly.  Does not eliminate the need for an edge--and we do not draft an edge here. 57- DT T.J. Sanders:  I really liked him at SC--a beast. A DE.  I am not sure how we will rotate in at NT--and I see NT as our biggest DL need IF we play Wharton at DE. 74- WR Jack Bech:  Love this guy.  a Dawg.  Eric Decker II. 111- S Billy Bowman Jr.  Good value here, but I was hoping for a S earlier.  I want one of the top 2 because if both S have position versatility, and we have Walker and DL with position versatility, we'd be hard to play. 114- CB Dorian Strong:  Fine. A depth piece behind Horn and Jackson (he he). However, I think CB is a bigger need than people are projecting. 140- LB Demetrius Knight Jr.:  Another Gamecock--love him.  Morgan will love him.  A dawg.  A steal here. 146- G Caleb Rogers:  Don't we have enough guards?  Moton is in his final year and we don't draft a T? 163- RB Jarquez Hunter:  Not sure I have ever heard of him--probably suing his parents for naming him Jarquez--but the name does mean "Strong and valiant" if spelled correctly.  Do his friends call him Jar Jar?  I would. 230- S Maxen Hook  The great grand son of Peter Pan's nemesis.  He has both hands--for now, but that is because Toledo did not play the Florida Gators.
