I think Bryce will be fine and I have been one of his worst critics on this board.  I called him a bust during the draft.  Bryce is playing mostly mistake free football and he takes what defense gives him.  He’s very very good at reading the game and avoids forcing things.

I think the issue is with the fans because they set unrealistic expectations in their heads that Bryce is next Drew Brees right out of college.  No, it takes time to make the transition.  Bryce will be fine.

Bryce was by no means perfect, but he was far from the only problem and the potential is there. He can already read a field better in 2 games than Justin Fields can in year 3. Fields is an elite athlete though so he gets away with it by running. 

I keep saying things will look better by midseason but everyone is tripping over their own dicks to crap all over Bryce and the team.

he has 3 turnovers in 2 games and took 2 bad sacks last night while missing numerous throws, thats not mistake free football my brother

“Mostly mistake free football”?

Id say for from. His redzone turnover yesterday was an absolute killer. He threw 2 more balls that should’ve been picked off

Bryce was supposed to be a super computer with elite touch. That’s what he was advertised as. He hasn’t been that. Richardson has looked like he is more confident in both his reads and throws. You can’t even compare Stroud to Young, that’s how night and day the two have looked. 
 

It’s difficult to make excuses and see the positive when other rookies who had more questions already seem to be providing more answers. And his only question was supposed to be around size. Y’all killed me during draft season when I said he looked like he had a bottom half of the NFL arm and I think it’s hard for anyone to say otherwise there now that we have seen it in real games. And that’s a concern. Because when your arm is weaker you need to be more precise with your throws and it’s just not been there. 
 

I don’t think we should compare Young to a Hall of Fame QB.

Fields strength was always going to be his mobility which so far is still true. 

Bryce’s strength is supposed to be his vision/processing… which hasn’t been true one bit. He absolutely should be able to read the field better than Fields. It’s literally why he went 1st overall

      I'm still not touching Hunter He again said the other day that he plans on playing both sides of the ball in the NFL.  If he is allowed to do that, he won't be as good on either side as his potential and he's going to have serious injury issues and have a short career.  If he's not allowed to do it, I think he's going to become a problem when the team isn't winning as he's going to feel him not being used on both sides of the ball is why. He's being coddled in that environment with Deion and I think it's doing a disservice to him to prepare him for life in the NFL where your coach isn't a 2nd father to you, to where you can just walk into his locker room and steal his shoes like Hunter does to Deion.

      He’s a tad behind them. Around 15ish of 32 starters in the league. He’s well ahead of a lot of guys. Tua, Bryce, Cousins (present), Rodgers (current), Devito/Jones, Minshew, Russ (current), Watson, Smith, Carr, T Laws deep ball is weak as poo IMO, there’s plenty. And it’s not like everyone is ripping 60+ers. The key component is if you can rip and maintain velocity of the 30-40 yarders which he does super well. Legit every report out there from Brugler to PFF to PFN document him as good/above average arm strength.  Eye test tells me it’s pretty much that as well, slightly above average.
