Sorry kids, Jason Campbell is garbage

campbell has had a sucky situation from day one. hasn't had a consistent OC. had a bad HC brought in who wanted to turn him into a WCO QB (which he isn't) and then had his team try and trade him off and attempt crazy moves to replace him.

the redskins have been an absolute disaster this year. there is nothing working for them and campbell gets stuck with a lot of the bad wrap.

Exactly. And even with all that, he has risen his number of TDs, completion percentage, and QB rating each year.

There are better options to be had out there, do we got the guts to pull the trigger is the question.
Maybe you could list the options to be had out there that are better than Jason Campbell instead of talking about "guts"? I know you are in favor of Mike Vick, but how about listing the "better options". Having said that, I don't want Vick or Campbell. I'd be willing to give Moore a chance if he finishes this season like the past couple games.

is article is b.s...based off one game...cambell had been performing well the last few weeks but as soon as he has a bad game the vultures circle. matt moore didnt set the world on fire the week before either..dont be so quick to jump to conclusions. theres alot of factors to figure in to jason's situation.

1. the offensive line-this offensive line would make most qbs look even worst than cambell.

2. the run game-portis is down and this part of the offense seems non existant at times.

3. lack of wrs-i think a lack of a proven gamebreaker is hurting and with the star te out for the season lack of options here.

4. coaching- wtf...whos running this circus...i didnt espn state the dude who was brought in to call the offense, his last gig was as a bingo host lol

bottom line- cambells numbers arent as bad as most think. behind the panthers offense running game and smith, cambell could be next seasons most improved qb no prob.

The announcers pointed out these FACTS:

He's playing behind a patchwork line.

He has no supporting cast in the form of RB or WR right now.

He has had 7 different OCs in his 9 years of football (pro and college combined).

With that amount of chaos around him, he has done more than anyone on the Panthers roster could have done, and has still kept the Skins competitive... Check out the final scores of some of their games this year against higher ranked teams (not counting last night's debacle)...

There are NOT any better options next year over Campbell. Gruden said it best when he said that Campbell was a winner, and a good QB that's been in bad situations.

But continue to be blind... It's too bad for you because you will be pulling for him when he's in a Panthers uni.

He also has the best RB duo in the game, and one of the best WRs ever to suit up...

Not to mention our OL backups quite frequently go on to start for other teams...

Next...

I agree, Jason Campbell takes a lot of heat from a supbar everything else that plays with him. His reciever's can't get open, or don't have the time to, and his O-line can't hold up for more than 2 seconds in a shotgun formation, a change in scenery for Campbell would be a HUGE blessing for his career.

I don't understand how Campbell is not Carr all over again. Their situations are/were the same. No RB, no O-line, inconsistency in coaches/co-ordinators. They are the same person. Campbell is now scarred for his career. It would take YEARS and YEARS to get him comfortable in the pocket again. Everybody thought Carr was going to take Jake's job. He was terrible.

It's like a dog that's been beat as a puppy. It never gets out of it's head that if somebody reaches out for it, it's not going to get hit, so it flinches every time. He's damaged goods.

What?! Did you see his o-line? Every single play he is getting knocked down. I remember watching the game yesterday and he got sacked in less than a second. It's ridiculous, and even more ridiculous to blame it on him.

It's pretty much all Vinny Cerrato's fault, their original GM. They haven't drafted an o-lineman in the first two rounds in about ten years. It's crazy. I mean, they had a top 5 defense last year and what do they do? They sign Albert Haynesworth and draft Brian Orakpo...
