This has to stop.  He has had guys open and either held the ball too long or overthrown a ball on deep routes.  Lets see what the film says tomorrow when it gets broken down.

Nah. Just roll with it. It was NEVER Cam's fault ... ever. No matter what. Now it will NEVER be Young's fault. But Teddy, Baker, Sam, etc. was ALL them lol, and it was ALL Rhule. Some posters just like their QB so much they can't ever admit he's not playing great right now. I'm giving Young the entire season ... but right now he looks like a mess ... meanwhile on the 0-2 Texans, CJ is showing promise.

Lol bruh you can’t compare lower tier college programs to the NFL. Or I could point out how Matt Rhule did a great turning around two shitty college football programs before coming here.

I'll go ahead and give you a hint, that one doesn't know jack sh-t about football, and I'm talking even basic concepts.

He talks big, but he's clueless.

Yeah that’s totally the same thing…

Just ignore CamWhoaaCam. He changes his avatar to whatever is "cool" in sports pop culture. I think he went from Cam, to Deshaun Watson, to Lamar Jackson, to CJ Stroud, to Bryce Young, and now it's Deion ... and has either liked posts about or posted himself about Shedeur Sanders. He also hypes Wilks for some reason. He's not a troll either ... just a stooge.

The prob is we pushed for QB this year instead of just being patient. Stroud and AR may end up being better but that's not saying much.

Desmond Ridder and Brock Purdy are better than all the 1st round QBs drafted in the past 3 years

The 1st round QBs in the NFC are at the bottom. Carr, Ridder, Hurts, Purdy, Prescott, Howell, Cousins, and Smith are the front runners for the NFC playoffs. 13-5 record. 1st round NFC QBs are 6-8. For the NFL, 1st round QBs have an 18-24 record. All other QBs have a 14-8 record.

Bryce Young doesn't appear to be anywhere close to being better than Derek Carr or Desmond Ridder.

Early, small sample size, blah blah.

But at this point, Bryce Young makes Teddy Bridgewater look like Cam Newton. And by all appearances, we’re going to continue to mistime and stagger our GM and coaching hires yet again when we kick our current dipshit out the door at the end of the season.

Edit: he is also possibly the lowest energy player I have ever seen. Keeping calm and collected is good, but he’s borderline catatonic out there.

This. I noticed how calm he was at the line. I saw zero fire. Then I joked at how he left the field at the half. He sarted running, then stopped, and sort of zig zagged through the Saints all gingerly, even putting his arms by his side. Dude, that is YOUR field. You make THEM move.

He’s blessed though.

Oh and busy processing.

trading away basically the next draft and 1 of the best young receivers to get your pick of the litter only to select someone whos ceiling is a poor mans tua is crazy

We have six picks in the next draft, only one down from a full complement.

This. I'd feel differently if I saw the physical tools to make the adjustments that are needed. He just doesn't seem to have the arm required to make the throws.

Really? I've seen plenty of zip in his throws. More than enough to be a great QB in this league. The kid is processing and learning at a level that works for him. He's adjusting to the speed of NFL players, which EVERY rookie QB has problems with. Going from college to the NFL is a difficult transition. He has to learn a way more complicated playbook, learn to gel and bond with new teammates and coaches, has to build chemistry with his skilled offensive players (in which we're not seeing ANY that want that next level), has to learn to adjust at the line of scrimmage (understanding NFL defensive schemes) in a way you do not in college, and so much more...

Damn, you all act like this stuff should be easy. Every part of our team right now is brand new and for EVERYONE on the team. How about we give it a season (you know, the way people did when we didn't live in an instant gratification world, full of ADD people and keyboard expert analysts) before we completely write this kid off as a bust. Jeez.. SERIOUS, we're two freaking games in.

I bet you that this kid gets better as the season progresses. And, by the end of the season everyone will be singing a different tune. If not, I'll say I'm wrong and we'll see what next season brings. Trevor Lawrence looked like trash for a while... he looks pretty good now. How is that possible? Don't you think we should be rooting for this guy instead of writing him off after two weeks in an NFL uniform? What kind of fan base is this? Did everyone think this would be a playoff year? SMH!

It wasn't ever Cam's fault because he was the sole reason the offense didn't rank 32 .. especially in '17

This mess is all because Bryce is garbage the defense of Young is unjustifiable .. BY is not good and won't be if he had Jefferson

I’m so f*cking sick of everyone saying “Bryce needs playmakers”

#1, he’s the first overall pick in the draft. He’s supposed to BE the playmaker. Cam Newton was also a #1 overall pick, a player WORTHY of that selection because he was a true playmaker. You take a QB that needs “playmakers” to be successful in the 2nd round.

#2, these skill players aren’t nobodies. Thielen has been an extremely productive WR in the NFL. Chark is productive when healthy and to my knowledge didn’t even have a catch tonight. Miles Sanders has been productive in some very good offenses and has his preferred position coach with him. Hayden Hurst was a first round pick and has been a moderately productive TE in the NFL.

#3, this coaching staff was supposed to be “all star” level and should be getting more out of the offense. Instead it looks worse than Ben McAdoo calling plays with a paper bag on his head. Maybe there are too many cooks in the kitchen to be successful.

Maybe the Panthers are just cursed. Either way if another person says “Bryce Young needs playmakers” you’re just not right.

Bullcrap!!! I don't see ONE freaking player on that offense that can take a 5 yard slant and turn it into a 75 yard TD. Shenault did it ONE time last year. How old is Theilen now? And he has always just been a 3rd down possession/red zone guy, not a home run hitter. He showed what he is tonight. And like you said, Hayden Hurst has been MODERATE. Chark had 1 season where he looked like he may be THAT guy and since has done nothing. Who else do we have that NFL defenses just fear? NO ONE!! Sanders... potential, but NO CMC, TMJ? lol. We need to give Young time. Time to gel with his receiving corps and time for players to hopefully emerge.

    • We could easily pick apart yesterday’s game: dropped passes, blown coverages, bad tackling and red zone issues to name a few. But it was clear that this wasn’t the same team from earlier in the season. They fought back and hung with the champs until the end. That’s what I was excited to see and it gives me hope that we’re on the right track.
    • I think BY played well today and exceeded expectations. I will temper future expectations as he has to string together many games of consistent quality. One game doesn’t convince me that he is a franchise QB or even a guy you want to stick with for another season. One game doesn’t erase all the negative play and limitations from the past couple of years. I hope he balls out and continues to get better but for me the verdict is still out   That said, I think he gave the team and fans hope yesterday which is a lot more than what we had when we woke up Sunday morning.
    • He was vastly improved today and we need to see more of Bryce the rest of the season to continue evaluate him in order to decide what the heck to do with him at the end of the season. He must play at least like this and improve more from here the rest of the season in order for me to keep him. No more 123 yard passing games and want to see at least this output weekly from him. If this is Bruce improving slowly over time then Canales is even better with developing QB's than I thought he was but still too early to tell and we need to see him the rest of the way as he has at very least earned back the starting gig moving forward.
