FYI: Might not be around much for tonight's game.

Lady Cowboy Fan had another surgery last Thursday, and she's having some pain in the area where it was done. She's been trying to tough through it but it finally got bad enough that she's decided to go to the ER.

Obviously this takes precedence over football. I might be back if everything is okay but right now we don't know.

Prayers appreciated

Change of plans.

She can't see her usual OB/GYN doctor until tomorrow so about halfway to the ER she decided to have me take her home. We'll be heading back out in the morning.

Prayers again tomorrow morning, please. I'll still likely be distracted tonight but we're home.

I mean, our 1, 2and 4 round picks are starting. But let’s focus on the 3 rounder that doesn’t…

1 - I mean you have to start the #1 overall pic

2 - Mingo is starting because not a lot of other options

4 - CZ is starting due to injury

DJ however is playing a position where we desperately need help and yet he is basically inactive for 2 games.  Hes 25 next month.

Fitt is not some drafting savant

    • Some people will shift the goal posts but he does still have to consistently help the team win, eventually. Not only help but be the reason. That's what franchise QB's do.
    • One of the Carolina Panthers' newest defenders thinks their pass rush can go from worst to first. ESPN's David Newton recently chatted with outside linebacker Pat Jones II, who signed with the Panthers as a free agent earlier this offseason. Jones comes over from an awfully impressive Minnesota Vikings defense—one that ranked first in takeaways (33), fourth in sacks (49) and second in QB pressure rate (44.4 percent) this past season. And despite a historically-bad campaign by Carolina's defense in 2024, the 26-year-old seems to believe his new unit can be similar—or even better—than his last. "I definitely think we could do something similar, if not better," Jones said, via Newton. "I've seen it before, so I know what it looks like. I look around the building and see we have exactly what it takes to do that." https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/panthers/2025/05/24/panthers-pat-jones-vikings-espn/83840667007/?taid=683219b347846900018fa10a&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=trueanthem&utm_source=twitter     It's the offseason.  Let hope spring eternal. (actually, I think we are much closer than this board thinks)
    • 5 total TDs against the Falcons was pretty good efficiency and he showed that ability to go off scripts and get 2 of those TDs rushing.  How many times did he deliver big time throws against pressure.  I agree we need to see this offense operate at high efficiency which starts with Bryce. When he does I hope the goals posts won’t shift to some other stat like QB sneaks lol
