According to NFL.com:

The Vikings' 41 yards rushing are the team's fewest since Nov. 13, 2005.

and

The Vikings finished with season lows in points (7), total yards (237), rush yards (41), third down conversions (1) and time of possession (22:01).

Amazing, awesome performance by our defense all the way around. We managed to shut down Peterson and Farve at the same time.... an incredible feat.

yeah, i don't want the defense touched going into next year....at least not in regards to coaches and scheme. what they have done overall has worked. the pass D is very solid. the run D is improving.

what we saw last night was a top 5 defense easily.

It's a shame the Saints won't have anything to play for when we meet them... would like another crack at them. We had them on the ropes for a good portion of our last meeting... last night proved we are capable of beating anyone, when we're not beating ourselves.

The D was awesome last night. That was perhaps the best tackling, night I have seen from the Panthers. The best this year easy; they were actually dropping Viking Receivers one-on-one after they caught the ball (few balls they caught). huge pass rush. That was a championship performance by the D.

I really hope Meeks sticks around next season. The defense is looking tpo notch these days.

:iamwithstupid:

If we keep Meeks next year & our defense played the same like last night or even better (same for our offense too), we could get back in the Playoffs. Thing are looking promising next year if our team continue play like they did lately as I said eariler. :)

Yeah the defense will be a force next year, some young guys got some experience this year and we've added depth at DT which has hit with the injury bug all season. If we get our starters back next year and they stay healthy we will have the top ranked defense next year... Even if peppers is gone I think the defense will be solid. If he wants out I believe we've got some young guys that can step up and do a substantial job and pay sloid enough in his absense.

    • Tell me what type of QB they were especially year2?
    • IMO Xavier Legette: Very up and down season, with more downs than ups. The hands/body catcher thing is a MASSIVE red flag. He has all the talent in the world but if you are this deficient in your fundamentals, it is a very steep learning curve at this level. I suspect we are going to be talking about him as another failed Panthers WR pick in another season or two. Jonathan Brooks: What more could be said that hasn't already been said? I feel for the kid but taking a RB in the 2nd round is not smart. Taking a RB coming off an ACL tear is WILDLY moronic. One of the worst draft decisions in the Tepper era. Trevin Wallace: A developmental pick taken a little higher than he should have been and inconsistent when he saw action. Overall, he showed some flashes and should be a part of our backup/rotation for another season or so to develop. Hopefully he becomes a starting caliber player by season three. JT Sanders: Terrible start to his rookie season that quickly evolved in a meteoric rise but subsequently fell off the map after a scary injury. Absolutely should be a featured player on this offense for years to come. Possibly the best TE since Greg retired.  The Rest: About as expected. Some decent flashes from Smith-Wade but these are all backup level players, so anything we get is great. There are no "busts" after the 4th round.
    • He's been excellent in both years, having to be the top target when he he has never been a true #1 in terms of ability.
