I still don't like to see Moore overthrow his recievers so often. Jake had the same problem. Moore has a couple of these early, but then he settled down and his passes were more on target. Overall, his accuracy is better than Jake's, and so is his arm strength. Clearly Smitty just needs someone to get the ball far enough downfield tht he can go up and get it. If Moore can get that done...

One thing I will say for Moore is that he throws the screen pass very well, sooooo much better than Delhomme ever did. Also, he took a couple of sacks, but he also bought himself some time and scrambled. He made a few key throws on the run. And the game plan called for some roll-outs, which were effective against the pass rush.

The game plan, for once, was well designed, and for maybe the first time all year...WELL EXECUTED at the QB position.

I'm still not sure I want Moore as the permanent starter, but with McCown and Delhomme as potential #2 next offseason, we should bring in a free agent and make it an open competition. Certainly you don't simply cut Moore...and it doesn't really make sense to bench a guy who has started only 6 games in his career and is 4-2.

i'd still like to see what mccown can do and give him a shot just to make sure but moore definitely needs to be in the discussion as the starter next year.

i still want to see how moore does the rest of the season. he might be winning the team over. if he can do that i have no problem with him getting the start.

i would like to see us draft someone, though....just to keep moore on his heels if he does get the start. having a starter with the unquestioned loyalty of the franchise is a bad idea. you eliminate competition and you eliminate your chances of growing and getting better.

if next year is uncapped i want us to buy out jakes contract and go with moore, mccown, and a FA/draft pick with potential.

we can all see that after what he did to the vikings last nite. moore will only get better with time. jake can pretty much plan on being the backup next season. now our management can concentrate on drafting some quality wide receivers to take the pressure off steve smith. looks like this team is starting to come together now that we have a legit QB.

Sorry, one game does not equal being the future. ESP considering how horrible he looked in NE and how routinely he misses throws a starting NFL qb should make. That deep pass to Barnidge was horrible but Gary came back and caught it for a big play. Moore's deep ball is decent and he moves well. I am jjst not ready to anoint him.

Is he better than Delhomme right now? Yes. Is he the future? No way. Can he earn that spot? Yes, but he has a long ways to go!!
