To all those that kept saying Matt Moore was garbage

Just like your namesake....You aren't very bright. OK listen up. Read this slowly word for word so you understand. If you stilll don't understand go back and read it again.

Matt Moore 4-2 against 5 playoff bound teams. Speaks volumes. More than a ONE HIT WONDER.

He will earn next seasons starting role in the next 2 weeks.

Go Panthers

Actually Moore is 1-1 against playoff teams and 1-0 against Tampa.

To go back and include 2007 is the same thing you and others railed against when people talked about our other quarterback who went 12-4 last year. If you don't let anyone include his 2008, then you can't include Moore's 2007. Each year is different as is each team. 2007 is ancient history in football terms.

And he will earn next year's starter status in training camp next season. Especially if we have a new coach. He did good this week but to assume he has earned the permanent starting role is naive and surely premature.

Matt Moore = Dereck Anderson.

I really hope that the team does not go into the off-season with the thought that they have found thier future QB. If what we want is another Jake without the arm strength and without the horse shoe in his ass, then Matt Moore is the man.

LMFAO..really?..

matt moore throws the ball alot harder than jake. as do most high school qb's.

What amuses me is that there are a few posters in this thread and on this board that are criticizing Moore for having the best performance by a Carolina quarterback since October 9, 2005 (against the Vikings actually, it was the day where 89 almost ran Fred Smoot out of the league and Gamble shredded Culpepper's knee) and yet made nothing but excuse after excuse after excuse for Jake this season.

this

i'm so sick of you jake nutsuckers. its time to get his cajun balls out of your mouth and realize that moore is better.

you all should be PROUD of Moore, he fuged the best pass d in the league without our starting RB and our two starting tackles. i haven't seen a qb performance that good (in carolina) since jake in the superbowl.

who cares about arm strength? jamarcus russell has the strongest arm in NFL history, and he's 3rd string on the raiders. give me good decision making, footwork, and clutch play over arm strength any day.

also, moore has beaten playoff teams. jake can't beat the bills. moore would be 5-1 if it weren't for that bs call vs dallas in 07.

most of the yardage he (MM) got passing was from smith and barnidge making plays after the reception. YAC!!

matt moore couldn't get the offense moving for the most part. over and under throwing recievers. scrambling and jumpy in the pocket. luckily, the vikings had to respect the running of j.stew.

Thats how Jake used to get most of his yards.

Jase's arm strength complaint is irrelevant. We are not the 99 rams.

Matt has the arm to make all the throws he needs to make. He still has to improve on accuracy though.

But overall he has improved a great deal over the past few weeks. Want to know the biggest sign? Watch the game again and watch his feet. Started the game with happy feet just like in previous weeks, but this time he settled down. Small adjustments in the pocket, not getting panicked. The result? 3 TDs, 0 Picks

Man I hope he can keep it up next week.

Vagrant says he has to go back and watch the "game film" before he can agree with this

Noticing something though. He still doesnt have the leadership of the team. The rest of the team doesnt seem to embrace him like they did Jake.

well, the fact Fox still claims Jake is the starter.....and that is tone Fox is setting.....it would be hard for the team to really embrace him or for him to really try to act/become a leader of the offense given the atmosphere and QB situation. I think the team wants to try to support him.....but w/o Fox allowing for it to occur.....we won't see a team get a chance to really embrace anyone else. (not even saying Moore is the guy for that job or role....but with Fox still openly supporting Delhomme....that is what the team will do).

The only people who bring up Jake are the Jake haters, lol. You guys have an unhealthy obsession with him.

This is true.

As for Matt Moore...I said last week that he just needs to keep playing and I still feel the same way. It's pretty obvious that he was rusty at first, which shouldn't surprise anybody, since he had not played in a real game in 2 years. You can tell that he's starting to get used to real game speed again and that he's gaining confidence as he goes, so I'm encouraged.
