The Commanders are doing some very un-Rivera things in short clock situations. Both games they've gotten the ball deep in their own territory right before half and been very aggressive. Classic Ron hands the ball off and jogs to the locker room in those situations. Maybe he's finally got an OC not named Turner that he trusts more.

I wouldn't be so quick to call Baker great.  He is an average QB who can be streaky.  He was very hot and cold in Cleveland and has played two terrible defenses so far this year.  Don't get me wrong he is much better than he looked here and I thought he would be solid for us, but Rhule was too terrible of a HC to get a good look.  If Bryce is the guy he will flash enough in Carolina for us to continue his development.  Teams are a lot more patient with number 1 overall drafted QBs than they would be with journeymen vets and rightfully so.

Never said Baker was great but he went thru bad coordinators like swiss cheese so there was no consistently to adapt but the only game he got to start for the Rams he won it on prime time with a great HC/coordinator in McCoy who knows what he's doing. And he pass for over 300 to carry the Bucs yesterday. Ever thought that had we drafted CJ and he failed to pass for 300 for us after 2 games while Bryce got those 30p yards game. I bet you the fans here including the clown troll would be screaming we picked the wrong QB again.

We got the right QB and if he fails early on, it will NOT be on him but on the team and fans for being impatient. He is the next Brady as far as I am concern.

He kept it classy the whole time too.  I love the whole I'm not a test taker, I'm a QB comment.  He just kept it real.

Having a low S2 score is no big deal unless you play the QB position that NEEDS to read and process plays in real time. Trey was still struggling with Kyles complex playbook even tho he was physically gifted with a cannon arm. With that said, i hold the s2 test in high regard when it comes to the QB ONLY, not meatheads who only task is to block or tackle. Bryce had the highest S2 score for a QB yet it means nothing for some fans unless he can pass for 300 plus yards.

How many times have we seen somebody predict that this is the year Eric Bieniemy gets a head coaching job...only to see it not happen?

That's the whole point of him getting out from under Andy Reid.  That was always the excuse.  "It's just Reid's offense."  Well if he gets the Commanders offense playing great with a 5th round 2nd year QB then yeah he has a high chance of getting a HC job.

This. If he continues to do well away from Reid under a defensive head coach he becomes a much more attractive HC candidate IMO.

Rivera is in a lose-lose situation and it’s his fault. He’s got head coaches at both coordinators because he’s not a good head coach.

If the offense sucks, Rivera’s gone.  If the offense shines like yesterday, Bieniemey becomes the HC.  That was the plan all along in Washington, IMO.

Imagine being the team with the top pick and having a chance to get Williams (who is getting compared to Mahomes) and pairing him with a HC that helped develop Mahomes.  Again I'm not sure anyone should try to draft "the next Mahomes" because the things he does shouldn't be done in the NFL, but some franchise is going to be all over that opportunity.

Valid, and I'm pretty sure nobody is gonna attribute any offensive success on the Commanders part to Ron Rivera.

Agreed, with the one caveat that a lot of the talk has been it's not his skill set that's been keeping him from getting those jobs. It's other factors.

Does this mitigate any of that?

I'd say that's a real possibility.
