As for the Panthers picking McCoy, I think he offers too much value if he's sitting there in the third round for Fox to ignore. I'm not saying I'd like for this to happen (far from it, I think McCoy will not have a successful NFL career), I'm just saying I believe Fox/Hurney would draft him if he's sitting there despite which quarterbacks we resign or sign.

I don't see Mardy Gilyard in there anywhere? That kid is one of the best playmakers in all of college football...IDT there is any way he falls past the 3rd round.

Also...I know that you can't do the whole trading deal in your mock draft but if we let Ryan Mallet get within 4 picks of us in the 2nd round and we don't make a move up to get him I will shoot somebody in this organization.

I have Gilyard going to the Browns as a late-3rd rounder. He's going to fall mainly because of his size, but also because of his speed and inconsistent hands.

I think Gilyard has the same playmaking ability as a Desean Jackson. Watch the return he had against Oklahoma (arguably the fastest team in the nation other than Florida). That alone tells me we should take a hard look at him.

But remember what happened to Jackson. He was projected to be a first-round pick in mock after mock after mock and then fell into the mid-2nd round. Why? Because of his size. Obviously he's proven his doubters wrong, but I expect the same to happen to Gilyard. He's going in the 2nd in most mock drafts, so it makes sense that he would fall into the 3rd.

Just my opinion though.

If thats the case why is tate in the 1st..He is just as small as Gilyard.

I am ok with the Panthers drafting Colt McCoy

I am not ok with the Panthers drafting Jeremy Williams.

I am ok with the Panthers drafting Dezmon Briscoe. Briscoe is 6-3, 200 pounds, and has had an amazing three-year career at Kansas. Briscoe has 218 Receptions for 3,240 Yards, and 31 Touchdowns in his career.
