So not one of these guys is a better option than Campbell?

The best thing for this team would be to bring in 2-3 guys, free agents and a high draft pick, let training camp be the determinant of who our starter will be. Competition works wonders in teams, and in Carolina it has just been too long without it.

Imagine 3-4 players in our camp, each fighting for a spot which would realistically be up for grabs and open to the best available. Along with a new young receiver, and the offensive weapons already in place, I think every week we would see improvement and confidence.

In that situation, there is no telling just what this team could do. Scary to say the least. If the young QB we drafted isn't ready, then he just learns under the arm in place until he is.

My two cents.

You guys would hate Jason He is way to slow. He has had 5 good games that's it. You would be better off with Jake Locker. The Redskins don't even have a QB competition in camp. JC can manage games and throws check downs that's it. Steve Smith would punch him before your season even ended. Take Locker and don't look back. Please don't shoot yourself in the foot. To piggyback off what you said as well, noticed Jake would have had his best year in 2007 when we bought in Carr for competition. He came out and played like a man possessed. Then the injury happened. I do agree with you on that. Competition can bring out the best (or the worst) in a QB.
