Jason Campbell clearly the best QB option for us going forward..

I would love to have Jason Campbell. Unfortunately, I don't think Washington will get rid of him.

I'm 90% sure this offseason will go like this: Fox returns, Delhomme returns, we draft a QB in the 2nd and put him behind Delhomme.

This will officially piss me off.

If fox is still the coach next year I'm buying Jag gear..

I don't think I can take another Fox year.

After awhile, there are only so many coordinators, coaches, and players that can be blamed for the Panthers being unwatchable and, many times, they are unwatchable; unwatchable = no chance for winning, none, not one. These next 3 games will be the final nail in the coffin of John Fox's coaching tenure and they need to be.

PSL holders aren't going to put up with it and I'm among them.

Its not like pro football is exactly affordable any more and I have to believe that JR can, and will do, a lot better than Fox/Hurney/Delhomme/Peppers, in that foursome is 3 people who are vastly overpaid for the results, and in pro football, results is all that matters.

I don't believe JR, in his health position, worries about what 'might' happen in 2011 and the uncapped year. I believe JR believes in the now, even more with his health and I believe if he thinks he can get a better coach in here, he's going to do it.

If he doesn't, there is no hope among PSL holders anymore. For the first time, this year, I heard people sitting around me that have watched the team since 1995 in Clemson, say 'enough'. Its one thing to watch the team on sunday on TV. It's a whole other deal to cough up $2K to $5K a year to watch this team, plus gas, plus concessions, plus vacation days, plus hotel rooms, etc. It's choice we all made, and in return, we just ask for a competitive team that consistenly plays like a pro team.

He's had 8 years. At this moment, we have no QB, and if we want to compete with the big boys of this league, its high time they take a chance and find one, I'm not talking about some scruff in the 4th round either. If they could screw away the 2010 on Everette Brown, they can get busy with screwing away the 2011 on a star QB. It's time, past time.

the best options for the panthers at qb aren't through the draft...not through trading for campell and nothing else...the panthers should trade for (maybe julius peppers and a couple picks in return) KEvin Kolb..he has shown tremendous talent and has done well wit hdesean jackson...imagine if he had smitty ....he has all the skills and i rlly think he is a good option.........OR trade for Vick...how dynamic would our run game be with vick , williams, and stewart...throw in steve smith and that offense becomes DEADLY (in a good way)

This is the type of mentality Panthers fans need to get free of. You have spent so long watching a John Fox coached team you dont think an elite QB is necessary. But if you added one to the run game already in place, the Panthers would be scary.

Its like a football version of battered wife syndrome.

Simple post, but this might be the best post on this forum of 2009. Rep

If Shanny comes in, I can see them keeping him one more year for him to take a look at him, if Mike does not come in, I could see them going in another direction.

He would probably be the best option, but we will have to see how the draft plays out.

Oh, never mind, he can't be the QB here, he is black.

Rodney Pete?

I bet that is sarcasm....:conehead:

Why is it that so many are stuck on Campbell? Out of the list of QBs who will be free agents at the end of the season, Campbell certainly doesn't standout among the crowd (honestly no one does) but I would rather take the risk of signing someone other then him. Why no love for Orton and what he has done in Denver? Yes, he is not a "Brees" or "Manning" type QB but he certainly hasn't performed poorly. He is the type of QB that the Panthers would thrive off of; a game manager who can hand it off and make those dinks and dunks to win the game... check his stats out; he only has 8 INTs which 3 of them came in one game. If not Orton (who could be in there for a couple of year while a young rookie QB can develop), why not Brodie Croyle or even just give it over to Moore for an entire season atleast what he can do with the entire off-season and pre-season to work with the starter and have the entire playbook to use?

You honestly think Denver is letting him walk?

Becaue Campbell is young, fits this offense and theres a chance for us to get him.but his play as of late is going to make it harder for us to get him.Ortons not going anywere

The Eagles looked better with Kolb than they did McNabb, but, the Eagles are not going to part with their QB of the future, unlike the Panthers, they did draft one, they aren't going to part with him, unfortunately.
