Jason Campbell clearly the best QB option for us going forward..

Yep. I made a thread about this. Panther fans think Moore is the future, because he keeps his INTs down to 1 a game lol..

That's not my thinking at all. I think that Matt Moore might be able to become a good QB because I think he can improve, not because he is a good QB right now. With experience, I hope that he will be able to make plays happen, not just avoid bad plays. Of course, you already know this because you read my earlier post and didn't make assumptions right?

yeah but how long will it take him to improve? We have the talent (baring injuries) to win now...why wait and have our window close when we could pick up JC, a proven NFL QB, and win now?

I'm not all knowing, so I don't know how long it would take him. Like I stated in a different thread, I am looking to see how he improves through the rest of the season before I make any judgement about him. All I'm saying is there are very few Peyton Mannings, Drew Brees, and Tom Bradys. We don't need one of them to be able to win, so I'm not sure why Moore needs to put up Manning like numbers in order to be considered to compete for the QB position next year.

Also, I would not venture to say that JC is a proven NFL QB. I don't exactly see him putting up Manning-like numbers either, so I'm still just really confused about the OP.

So what you are saying is you would pass on the chance at an elite QB, or even decent QB, because the Panthers have Matt Moore?

Where did I say that?

Why can't it be possible that Matt Moore might be the decent QB we need?

Where is this elite QB that we can even pass up on? Is Brady or Manning a free agent and I just don't know somehow? Or are you talking about someone in the draft that is unproven and could easily be another bust just like a lot them turn out to be?

all nice points, but I would rather have JC, a guy who has put up Peyton numbers over Matt Moore..Jake Delhommes backup. But I agree, I want to see what Moore can do in the final 3 games. If we is decent, then we should keep him, if he plays like a backup, we have to look else where.

I don't feel like posting about this much more so what it comes down to is whether you have already passed judgement on Matt Moore based off of the past 2 games or if you are waiting to pass judgement. I am just waiting, because I want to see if he can improve. So far he hasn't shown anything special, but most people don't in their first 2 games.

I am fine with staying with Matt Moore the last 2 games just because the Delhomme era is over and why not; BUT Moore is NOT the answer. It is not that he hasnt shown anything special the last two weeks its that he hasnt shown anything special the past 3 years here!! I dont want to hear he has been behind Jake, he won 2 games the end of '07 - Moore has done very little in those games, this season, and pre-season to show he is a viable options as a long term solution to start.

yeah.Because of the uncapped year.He will be a RFA they prob will tender him but if I was him I would not sign anything long term.

Yeah... I know that might happen. There was alot of poisen pills in the CBA that doesnt make an uncapped year very appealling to alot of players. I hear them talk about that a lot on NFL radio. Campbell isnt the only player that will go from being a free agent to a RFA. It will be interesting to see if the NFL actually goes into the offseason without an agreement in place. People think the players want an "uncapped" year but that really isnt the case.

What would the compensation be if a team signed a RFA?
