Jason Campbell clearly the best QB option for us going forward..

.. Unless MAtt Moore puts up Peyton numbers in the last 3 games, we need a QB...Since our pick is in the 2nd, all the QBs will be projects, and this team is to good to have to wait 2,3 years..Jason Campbell isn't the problem in Washington. He is a very good QB. Reminds me of Kerry Collins in the early 00's. maybe draft some WR's in the 2nd and 3rd, and plug up those gapping holes we have on our Defense..and I'll have no problem with FOx staying here..Jake on the other hand needs to go. Take the cap hit, I don't care, he can't stay..

You are probably going to get railed by a bunch of people on this board but I agree with you. I would love for the Panthers to bring in Campbell as a fill gap while (hopefully the new coaching staff) grooms a new young QB for the future. Campbell is not the problem in D.C.

Why does Matt Moore need to put up Peyton-like numbers in order for us to consider him an option? We don't need a Peyton Manning, we need a QB that can make a play when he needs to and can avoid turnovers.

I actually completely agree. I don't like the idea of selecting a below average, unproven QB in 2nd round, essentially wasting a pick just to select a QB. I'd rather address other needs and maybe wait until 2010 and pick up Jake Locker in the draft.

IDT Campbell is going anywhere. The Redskins could resign him for cheap and add some more pieces. They are not a good team. They have no playmakers in the backfield. Their best receiver is a TE. They are not ready to bring in a QB and expect him to succeed.

The Skins need to resign Jason Campbell and focus on getting a QB another year. IMO they need ALOT more than just a QB to be a good team. I think they are going to go after a LT personally..Russell Okung to replace Samuels would be a better pick than any of those QBs.

Bottom line is IDT Campbell is going anywhere when they can get him for a bargain basement price.

This is the type of mentality Panthers fans need to get free of. You have spent so long watching a John Fox coached team you dont think an elite QB is necessary. But if you added one to the run game already in place, the Panthers would be scary.

Its like a football version of battered wife syndrome.

I would like to have an elite player at every position, but you can't afford that. I would rather have a good quarterback for our system and use more money on other positions like WR, DT, and OL.

Yep. I made a thread about this. Panther fans think Moore is the future, because he keeps his INTs down to 1 a game lol..

If Shanny comes in, I can see them keeping him one more year for him to take a look at him, if Mike does not come in, I could see them going in another direction.

He would probably be the best option, but we will have to see how the draft plays out.

Oh, never mind, he can't be the QB here, he is black.

    • He played like the kid coming out of Alabama. That's what he has done and what everyone expected him to do from the jump. What almost everyone failed to consider was what it would take to get him to play like that in the nfl. Turns out it was just a matter of confidence.
    • This is actually a good discussion that dime to Legette was about 35 yards very accurate but not the TD throw to AT, but I definitely found Bryce hitting passes extremely similar to Andy I didn’t think Bryce could a couple weeks ago but that’s just not true he can. 32 sec mark he drops a dime 40 yards down the field where only Cooker can catch it with plenty zip with elite accuracy, I’d say the exact same dime Andy threw just diff part of the field. Bryce is showing he can make every throw Andy can make.  And your question is way to specific to find examples but I can find you very similar plays and If my boy Legette catches the dam ball Bryce might be able to have a deep TD pass that traveled about 30+ yards in the air we just need him to catch the ball and take off up the field but that’s not my argument I’m here to show Bryce throwing similar darts to Andy in his first year of being in a competent offense. TMJ and DJ Chark Mingo Ian Thomas lol and others as your go to weapons I’d say can have a major negative affect on your performances. But to address the argument here Bryce has film doing what Andy can do here’s the proof. (See video above)
    • I agree with all of that and Fitterer definitely sucked.  Some of that may also be blamed on the fact that he did not start with a fresh regime to come in.  So he had already burned some of his wick when we were starting over with a new coach (twice). The reality is that we do not often see players traded for that kind of package in the NFL today.  We don't see teams selling off star players for large hauls to start a re-build.  Whether or not that is the correct decision is up for debate.  But in the NFL it's observable that the opposite is mostly the case.  Teams tend to over value present assets vs future assets. It all goes back to the fact that "now" is all that matters if you're running an NFL team.  They say the NFL stands for "not for long".  You don't have the luxury to sow a field that won't be harvested until after you're gone.  Nobody's that selfless in NFL front offices.
