I suspect that second INT was Bryce trying to bait Bates.

I don't have the all-22, but for the second interception, I have a very strong feeling it may have been a lazy route by the receiver there. He probably should've come back to the ball more.

More speculative at this point until I check out the film. I'm of the opinion Young just needs more reps with his receivers and understanding their deficiencies and tendencies moreso than blaming Bryce himself.

Did people forget that Joe Burrow, the highest paid player in NFL history only threw for 82 yards? And our fanbase choose to bash on a rookie QB who is making his first NFL start. Bryce showed a lot of poise yesterday and wasn't rattled even after throwing 2 INTs. I'm more concerned that there wasn't a real sense of urgency into the 4th quarter from the coaching staff and play calling. Expecting Bryce to take over and deliver a 2 score come from behind 4th quarter win is tough. The team needs to play well and score from the beginning to help him protect a lead, not come from behind. Overall Bryce showed me all that I expected from a rookie QB.

Well done lad. @Zod@Jeremy Igo should put this on Facebook or something

The poster should take Darin Gantt's job. This is the best and truly honest game summary that I've seen in a very long time. That's the game I watched and came away thinking the same thing. Get this man, woman, or who/whatever, a media pass asap!

From what I recall (didn’t rewatch it) Bryce threw directly to the S. He just didn’t see him. That’s the one I put squarely on Bryce. The first one was partially Bryce and partially just a great play by the S. Very pleased overall by Bryce, especially after what we’ve endured the past few years.  Stats might not show it, but you could see a huge difference between what he was doing and anyone we’ve had since Cam got injured.

That wasn't the point. You compared young to Burrow. 1 is injured 1 isn't. That's all I'm saying

Burrow is listed as healthy. If he is legitimately still injured then the Bengals are dumb playing him because that could really make his injury more severe. I think he was just very rusty. He threw like 4 picks week one last year and I don’t think he was injured then.

The positive was that in actuality we were the better team yesterday. We just killed ourselves with the turnovers.

I also thought that despite his stature Bryce Young didn't look that small to me. I liked that he threw across the middle, showed some escape ability. Hated the INTs but he is a rookie. I suspect that second INT was Bryce trying to bait Bates. If so, I actually like the arrogance there. I thought his arm looked pretty good, though I wish he connected on those deep balls. I do worry about him already being close to his ceiling, and that there might be something to him playing overly structured and predictable in that sense. BUT I thought he looked pretty competent out there.

The offensive line looked great, and defense overall was very good.

Sanders fumble is what lost us the game. That was going to be a TD drive.

I am not 100% sure we were the best team. With the turnovers and shorter fields, it appeared like we were better but we just had more plays. Atlanta had a better yards per play, yards per rush and yards per pass. Per play we were worse but with the turnovers and quicker scores we had the ball for 10 more minutes and we had 50% more offensive plays. The Falcons were more efficient per play/rush/pass and didn’t turn the ball over. We had a rookie QB with less weapons, so I’m not surprised by the mistakes. I’d rather have Young but the Falcons may have been the better team yesterday not looking through panthers colored glasses.

No chance the second one was the WRs fault. Bates literally didn’t move until he saw the ball coming right at him. No chance the WR is jumping Bates on the 2nd. The first one IMHO was also Bryce missing Bates. In both cases Bates was in great position and didn’t have to make a miraculous play. This wasn’t a DB coming from across the field to make an amazing interception.
