Liked to hear that we actually called several deep shot plays, that had to be checked out of due to blitzes or coverage.  Frank did say it is unacceptable to have no completions of 20+ or 40+ yards.

Hamstring injuries can be bad but it was encouraging to hear that is what it was and not his foot.  When you consider how few regular season games Horn has played the last 2 years, it isn't that surprising he would pull his hammy in Week 1.  

He might still be injury prone, but it is also possible the hamstring was just a result of lack of PT and we don't have anything to worry about.  And he did play 13 games last year.

When talking about the CBs play, he said he’s looking forward to getting Jaycee back quick, but has confidence in Hill and others

So Bates said after the game he knew our coaches would try to ease Bryce into it with a short passing game so he decided to play closer up. 

We need to start hitting longer shots or it’s going to be like that past few years all over again.

The Falcons had no problem with the dink and dunk passing attack. I think Ridder only had one completion over 20 yards himself, the one to Pitts.

Hill immediately came in and made a fantastic tackle (for loss?) in the flats. 
 

That was encouraging.

At 33:40 or so - hopefully we get Jaycee back quick.  Seemed like he wasn’t overly concerned about anything long term
