Reich got figured out early. Had a good drive in the 2nd, but that was it. Maybe they can be prepared to let Brown take over if he's not figuring out how to get guys open. Young had plenty of time. He was scanning the field, but couldn't find anyone to throw the ball to. That's playcalling. Playcalling and below-average route runners that can't get separation without the scheme doing it for them. 

I hope that's how Reich will work and not let his ego make him double down.

Hell, look at the start of the route, there's hesitation on his behalf as he approaches the CB. He did not think for one second that ball was coming his way

If there is a strength to Atlanta's defense, it is the secondary. New Orleans is a little more well-rounded, and more experienced, and should present a tougher test.

It's unfortunate that Bryce overthrew Mingo on that bomb, because we weren't gonna win this game either way, but the public sentiment would've changed about 20%. As it is, can't rely on one fly route, on one try, with two rookies, to hit the first time. It is reasonable to expect it to hit on some soon, though.

I hated giving up on the run as much as we did. If a guy is getting 6-plus yards per carry, he needs to get more than 9 carries. I wouldn't have guessed Chuba'd be the best player on offense today, but he really was. Young needs to hit on some more of his passes, but his WRs just flat-out cannot get open and, coupled with the GM and coach to an extent, set him up for failure. It's frustrating.

He needs his WRs to get open, or get schemed open, so he gets a chance to overcome those bad reads.

Our playcalling and skill talent requires too much from a rookie QB.   Requires him to play at a high level for success.

Chark IMO can’t be considered anything. He isn’t reliable enough.  Just a bonus. He can do the job when healthy though

Lol Mike Evans would not be a one year deal thing, it funny you call him old but he would be good for another 2-3 years as a WR1. We can pay him what he wants.

I can't say I'm excited about seeing Lattimore controlling the sky next week, while Jordan and pals make it difficult up front. Maybe we go back to old-leatherhead style and just run run run. Install the wishbone this week.

The QB and coach seem to be willing to go to battle with these JAGs, so I'd expect 35-40 passes again. Nothing I saw in the preseason made me think this would ever be a running team, and while the success of the run game shocked me big-time, I was frankly (no pun intended) shocked almost as much by the number of run plays.

To your point on the running game, I think our line is a little better at run blocking.

A lot of these route concepts are pretty concerning.  Some of this is Joe Brady esque, which shouldn’t be the case for an experienced offensive coach.

I'm not singling you out, but when are we done with TMJ? When he was drafted everyone had stars in their eyes and "he was going to take someone's job soon."

It's way past time and he is what he is.
