100% agreed. I'm good with players doing it, because they need to. Coaches on the other hand can get into their heads too easy. KISS needs to be plastered on every, damn, wall in coaches offices. Keep It Simple Stupid.

If anyone watches that video and comes away thinking "Bryce Young played like poo and he is not good," then you should seriously consider watching it a second time -- only this time open your eyes when you watch it

Clearly our receiving core leaves a great deal to be desired. And Thomas Brown needs to be running this offense. But we still can't be turning the ball over like we did. You either believe Young will put in the work to correct it or you didn't like him all along and will use this as an opportunity to pat yourself on the back.

Two turnovers in a rookie QB's debut with no WR separation isn't what I'd call disappointing. It's what I expected. He's gonna make some bad reads. He's a rookie on a bad team.

He needs his WRs to get open, or get schemed open, so he gets a chance to overcome those bad reads.

Honestly...

Reich got figured out early. Had a good drive in the 2nd, but that was it. Maybe they can be prepared to let Brown take over if he's not figuring out how to get guys open. Young had plenty of time. He was scanning the field, but couldn't find anyone to throw the ball to. That's playcalling. Playcalling and below-average route runners that can't get separation without the scheme doing it for them.

I think we'll see a few more open guys next week, because NO will blitz more. Then we can get mad at the OL for not protecting Bryce and half the board can get mad at Bryce for missing a WR after throwing a pass while falling down

As far as TMJ goes, IMO that’s just a WR being lazy not wanting to waste energy on a decoy route….and then it just happened to go that way.  He didn’t think it was coming IMO.  Think everyone was surprised. 
 

Chark IMO can’t be considered anything. He isn’t reliable enough.  Just a bonus. He can do the job when healthy though
