Avoiding the obvious disgusting initial reaction to having your house and business raided by the feds -

didn’t the StL Cardinals have an employee that was cheating by posing as an employee to a different team online and gathered sensitive information? Maybe Williams was gambling and throwing games?

Word now is that the previous report of a law enforcement raid was false.

If the news did indeed come from Charles Tillman though, that might explain where the FBI angle entered the story.

Wow so Tillman tipping his friends off with sensitive information? Must be nice.

Feds raiding the place seems like a strange rumor to start

Reports characterize it as delivering news rather than tipping them off. But Tillman is an FBI agent.

it might have been his involvement that got blown up into news of a raid.

    • heres a good piece on shemar stewart-   https://www.sbnation.com/2025/2/20/24368685/shemar-stewart-nfl-draft-profile-texas-am
    • Knowing us, probably trade up to #3 to get him. @LinvilleGorge will delete the forum entirely in a rage fit.
    • Yeah, I mean, it's fine to bank on youth but it can't outweigh who you are as a prospect. I don't look at a guy and say, "Oh I have an extra two years to develop this guy" on a team that needs a ton of help at every position. If I were an elite team with depth to spare, hey, why not? But those teams also draft in the range I think he should be in, middle of the 1st to end of the 1st. That's fine but I think you are going to struggle pretty heavily to find a guy that WASN'T arguably playing out of position his entire college career that was as unproductive in college as Stewart has been that panned out in the NFL. ESPECIALLY as a top 10 pick.  Now, if we are talking a top of the 4th round pick? You run to the podium with that Stewart card and don't look back.
