Rhule was hired by who?

And he overpaid to do it.

With that circuitous logic, we should blame all 31 other owners since they voted to allow Tepper to buy the team. Or blame whoever invented the game of football. Or the founding fathers for creating the country in which football was invented.

hiring Rhule was a mistake. Hindsight is easy, at the time Rhule was a hot candidate and we weren’t the only ones trying to hire him.

It is what it is. Fact is we haven't had a winning record since Tepper took over this franchise.

Every year the expectations are low. People think it's not realistic to make the playoffs in a weak division despite upgrading at HC and QB.

Hopefully the Bryce trade changes all of this. QB has been the main reason why we have sucked for years. If Tepper gets the Bryce pick right then I will be his biggest fan.

CamWhoaaCam is a "show me" kind of guy. Win games I will be the biggest fan on this board.

if we draw a line in the sand over $3 million we are inept

It's never the big number. It's the structure and guaranteed. We aren't getting any details whatsoever. That this guy doesn't talk about that aspect suggests hes not particularly knowledgeable about any of it

This guy seems to be going off of what was assumed months ago. More recent reporting suggests Burns asking 30+. Who really knows.

If we offered 24 and he wanted 27 months ago and we couldnt figure something out 5 days prior to the opener then something is severely wrong with both parties involved

Again from what person said it feels like they were so far apart the panthers went dark and started this game of chicken with burns and his people

I mean it has to be a 4/5 year deal so maybe they are haggling of the guaranteed portion of it.  But no way he accepts a 3 year deal when he has this type of leverage

    • Fields is by far the most talented of the available QBs in FA.   Just not sure he will be a available because the Steelers are winning games. The more games they win the less likely he will be available. Fields gets them to the playoffs he's getting a nice contract from the Steelers imo.
    • thanks @Candler Cat copied and added to the OP.
