Deion is polarizing I know, but I see why he's doing things his way. I would have taken 3 years of this over rhule

Deion was my favorite player growing up (then Barry), so I've been pulling for him my whole life and I'm telling you, outside of my Heels, I am prolly the biggest Colorado fan in the world right now that has zero ties to the area or school.

I think there is something to be said about someone who embodies the physical manifestation of their thoughts.  A lot of people think Deion just talks poo and that he's cocky, brash, and arrogant...  but if people actually listened to what he's saying, it's all substantive.  He has said the literal invention of Prime Time was our of necessity to pull him out of his living conditions - if he didn't believe in himself, no one else would.  And he believed it, became it, and influenced generations of people, athletes, and culture as a result.  He's smart and when he talks, people have no choice but to kaite , whether they like him or not...  but he's a force of nature, and I feel like that's why he can't lose in this endeavor.  Those kids are ready to run through a wall for him and I love seeing it.

Also, for those that didn't watch, Shedeur is a guy to keep an eye out for...  i have not seen that much poise and touch consistent from a college QB throughout an entire game in a very, very long time.

Greg McElroy and Sean McDonough called the ncaa out, Charlie baker by name, last night and embarrassed them on national TV in a marquee game. Well done.

I really, really fuging hate the ncaa.  I was hoping they would just kind of crumble once the NIL stuff happened, but here they are, still finding a way to stick their nose in poo and fug up a good thing.

@LinvilleGorge Did they do anything at the stadium to remember the shooting on the UNC campus?

I hope so. They haven't done poo for the faculty.

A friend of mine that teaches at UNC has been telling me what they've done so far and it's just a bunch of CYA being done by the school. The extent of the counseling he was offered was basically a group session and an email chain where they discussed what they were thinking while hiding.

His office was on the first floor of the building where the shooting took place. He heard all 5 shots and immediately had to barricade his door with his desk, chair, and a few other things he had.

I think they are going to dissolve eventually. They are one of the most corrupt, morally bankrupt, unethical sports organizations in the world.

it’s why the nil stuff if such a disaster. They have no spine and no leadership.

I’m glad your friend is ok. What happened is a GD tragedy. What do you think the admin could do for the staff?

Deion is one of the greatest American athletes in history. He transcended the game of NFL and was a big deal for baseball.

he is a breat of fresh air for coaching. He is real and saying how it is and that of course rubs the crotchety old people of European dissent wrong because they just want to be entertained.

my only concern is that this is going to be one of the top storylines in CFB this year and I think espn is gonna be shoving it down our throats like they did with Zion and Manziel. I’m gonna be watching the Maui Imvitational and Bill Walton is gonna go on a 10 minute diatribe about Colorado football because espn told him to

Agreed on all counts, and that Walton take is fuging hilarious and super likely.🤣🤣🤣

But yeah, fug ESPN.  We canceled our directv last year, and I really haven't missed it at all...  I used to spend hours watching it, but even then was starting to feel really frustrated with th repetitiveness and them just running everything into the ground while inventing their own news and storylines by pushing narratives with their fuging gasbag personalities all of the time.  They are insufferable.

But, I love me some Deion!  I really hope they push for Top 10+ this season.  I always appreciated the program from early memories of my football fandom with the likes of Slash, Westbrook, Rashan Salaam, etc., so I love that Deion took on the challenge to revitalize that program.  It's gonna be fun to watch.

Speaking for myself (he's still processing as you can imagine), I believe that they need to provide something a bit more impactful than an hour long group discussion along with an email chain "checking in."

The most damning issue for the college right now, and why they are in save their ass mode, is because the advisor/professor that was murdered had emailed the department and relevant parties expressing concern for the shooter's mental health. They had prior notice of this and did nothing.

Also, when the shooting occurred, there are three levels for which the college categorizes an incident. I don't remember the exact naming conventions, but the breakdown he gave me was that cat1 is everything goes on as normal, cat2 is that school is done for the day but everything resumes as normal the next day, and cat3 is for anything that requires more than that. UNC originally classified this as cat2 instead of a cat3. As a result, students were left wondering how they were going to finish an assignment while processing a traumatic event until enough backlash forced the college to correct course.

I saw the news blurb about an hour after it had occurred and legitimatley paused for an entire minute trying to figure out how to contact him. I ultimately opted to DM him on Discord since to my knowledge his Discord notifications are always turned off. After he had been evacuated (~3:30pm the day of, more than 2.5hrs after the shooting occurred above him), he told me that a co-worker called his office phone twice trying to check on him so he ended up having to rip it out of the wall to avoid having it bring attention to him.

Apologies, I didn't actually answer the what I think they should do part specifically.

For starters, the mandatory reporting process needs to be reviewed and fixed. To say that the ball was dropped there is an understatement. The process in which classes are canceled and a shooting on campus is responded to is in need of a major overhaul.

Providing access to mental health services instead of a half ass checkbox would be nice as well. I'm not sure what they're providing the students but for the faculty that just lost a teammate they've done fug all.

I don’t watch tons of UNC, generally when I do I feel Mack would annoy me as my teams HC.

all 3 timeouts, a minute on the clock, one of the top QBs in college football…. and he just let the clock run out.   UNC was slated to get the ball back in the 2nd half.  That’s a lot of coaches dream scenario.

    • Richard Sherman got dog piled for basically saying he didn't stand out as a WR prospect but looked elite as a CB prospect. A few months ago you could find other players commenting on his limited route tree and raw route running but the search algorithms are flooded with love affair right now. The guy is the best CB prospect in years and he'll contribute on offense too. That is the absolute opposite of a knock on the guy. It's just the people buying into him being a full time two way player in the NFL like he was at Colorado who gets their panties in a wad over just stating the simple reality that he ain't gonna be a full time two way player at the NFL level with 17 games seasons and no Travis Hunter fan should want that either if you want the guy to make it to a second contract.
    • You do know you have to be invited to College GameDay? They called him out there and asked him about it and he answered it. And do you think he would have this type of interactions with a coach he doesn't have that type of relationship with? You're reaching to the furthest extent lol. I've seen a video of Hunter literally getting cursed out by Shedeur by not catching a BAD pass from Sanders and he didn't say anything just went out and caught a TD pass the next play! A "diva" would've got into a shouting match with his QB
    • WHAT?!?!?!?! Honestly for the life of me, I can't figure out what you're saying here.  How are you saying their supporting casts cancel each other out and Hunter STILL had the better season? The supporting cast is LITERALLY the reason that he had the better season statistically.  If you put T-Mac on Colorado in place of Hunter, I'm 100% convinced he'd have had better stats than Hunter did, as he already had almost the same number of catches, and more yards, with a significantly worse QB and with zero other offensive weapons to take any attention away from him like Hunter had. If you think Hunter having 7 more TDs is more because of Hunter vs T-Mac and not because Hunter's QB had literally DOUBLE the number of TD's this year than T-Mac's QB, then I have some Arizona oceanfront property to sell you.
