Well part of the unrealistic fan base expectations has its origin with the Panthers media. They kept writing pieces that made it appear that Young was some sort of god-tier wunderkind who is practically a coach on the field. They stopped, but it's too late. Casual fans are expecting Tom Brady or Joe Montana out there.

No.  Rhule didn't just say it.  Everyone involved has said it.  When they came on board and when they left.   It's been consistent.  Fitt just once again, confirmed again.  

you have your own narrative.  That is largely from the media repeating the same story over and over because someone happened to hear about a line in a contact.   And that was always addressed in real time too when Fitt was hired. 

But you pick and choose who is lying and why they are lying.  Fitt is a liar too.  But a noble one lol. 

we paired a newb GM w/ an unqualified college coach and it went predictably.  Fitt at least owns it.  You should accept he had a role in it and move on.

Vet QB strong Oline multiple playmakers on offense (rookie of the year WR offensive player of the year MT) a top ranked defense and a coaching staff who’s returning not like us just learning a scheme. Or an aging but still good WR AT oft injured WR Chark and young inexperienced Mingo/TMJ. If you watch a lot of football it makes pure sense to say it can happen it’s obtainable but it’s more of stretch then we like to admit. Who’s more likely to perform better a vet with weapons all around him or a rookie with a few good pieces around him. No matter how large my homer glasses are it’s hard to say we with this roster out preform these teams weekly and make the playoffs when all those other teams are ahead of us in talent and cohesion and that’s what matters most. But I’ll still probably put 200 on us to win the NFC at Kings Mtn tomorrow because it pays out 10k and I’m a big time homer.

Denis Allen invalidates every point you're making about NO. The only coach in the NFL right now worst than Matt Rhule resides in New Orleans. There is no other coach in NFL history except one that is worst than Denis Allen.

While my comment was in jest I truly believe there are people in here that would be upset because they would be wrong.  We have a couple Anti-Brycers, Anti-Reichers, and I think some have turned into all out Anti-Panthers.  I am ok with skepticism and realistic expectations but man I don't know why some of these people are even still following the team.

Too bad the Panthers don't have a first rounder next year. Young to Bowers could be an beautiful thing. Harrison Jr will go top 4, so would be gone before the Panthers pick anyway.
