Wilks is a pro football coach. He is a leader, and a very distinguished representative of Charlotte.

He is definitely full of class.  A high character good leader of the locker room.  I just really think you need an offensive HC to keep any stability with a franchise in today's NFL.

And he was fired after 1 season because he sucked then too.

Not all coaches are meant to be a Head Coach, nothing wrong with being a great coordinator.

You know how many bad coaches still get jobs after getting fired?

Cmon bro this is reality. To say Wilks can't be a HC because 1 failed opportunity is just flat out unfair.

Do you feel the same about Frank?

Yep. IOC and FIFA corrupt as hell.

im convinced most NFL owners are probably guilty of something if the government “really” wanted to investigate them.

NCAA is one of the worst organizations in the world. College sports full of garbage and plenty of reasons to not like college athletics.

I mean if you actually knew the inner workings of Bama over the last 20 years? It would have more drama than Game of Thrones.  Sports on all levels is crazy.   Especially pre NIL.  But even the NIL era is going to be wild. To be a fly on the wall basically of any major sport org.

How did he do before Carolina?

You judging him off 1 failed opportunity?

Do you know how many losing coaches get 2nd chances to be a HC. This is why minority coaches not getting jobs are a real thing. Frank was fired yet we hired him.

What's the difference?

Not as good as Frank, If we're being honest.

Now that said, I never did put the majority of the blame for that disaster on Wilks. Having success under Bidwill and Keim probably would have taken divine intervention.

The “leader of men” style coaching is out dated and doesn’t work in 2023.

It's amazing people think Wilks is not HC material when he had the players backing him and put life back into this franchise when he took over.

1 failed opportunity with the Cardinals means he should never get another opportunity.

Meanwhile we hired a losing coach who was fired. Nobody said Frank didn't deserve the job.

Never change Huddle.

That arguably depends on your skill in the hiring area.

If you can find the right people to do the nuts and bolts type jobs, then that leadership style might still be effective.

That said, Wilks was a big fan of Al Holcomb as a DC, so it would seem he might not be appreciably better in that area than his former boss (the one currently in DC) was.

    • We could easily pick apart yesterday’s game: dropped passes, blown coverages, bad tackling and red zone issues to name a few. But it was clear that this wasn’t the same team from earlier in the season. They fought back and hung with the champs until the end. That’s what I was excited to see and it gives me hope that we’re on the right track.
    • I think BY played well today and exceeded expectations. I will temper future expectations as he has to string together many games of consistent quality. One game doesn’t convince me that he is a franchise QB or even a guy you want to stick with for another season. One game doesn’t erase all the negative play and limitations from the past couple of years. I hope he balls out and continues to get better but for me the verdict is still out   That said, I think he gave the team and fans hope yesterday which is a lot more than what we had when we woke up Sunday morning.
    • He was vastly improved today and we need to see more of Bryce the rest of the season to continue evaluate him in order to decide what the heck to do with him at the end of the season. He must play at least like this and improve more from here the rest of the season in order for me to keep him. No more 123 yard passing games and want to see at least this output weekly from him. If this is Bruce improving slowly over time then Canales is even better with developing QB's than I thought he was but still too early to tell and we need to see him the rest of the way as he has at very least earned back the starting gig moving forward.
